Issac "Rungood" Tucker may spend most of his time running the iNinja poker series, but every now and then, he takes time out of his schedule to fire a tournament or two himself. So far, so good for Tucker in the 2016 RunGood Horseshoe Council Bluffs Main Event, where he bagged the overall chip lead with 237,000 at the conclusion of Day 1b.

Tucker will be first among 43 survivors of the three starting flights, with a total of 209 entries having been logged. Other players to bag piles on Day 1b and 1c included Mike Fick (236,500) and Chris Wicks (221,500), who led the 16 survivors of Day 1c.

Chunlei Yuan and Tucker were both mixing it up playing plenty of pots, and they had a huge clash late on Day 1b that sent the chip lead to Tucker, which he never relinquished. It went down during Level 9 (600/1,200/200), when the two saw a flop of 496. Yuan shipped it from the big blind for 62,500 into a pot of just 22,000, and Tucker looked pained.

"I don't see how I don't," he said.

After only a bit more thinking, he made the call.

Tucker: JJ
Yuan: 33

Tucker was way ahead, and he faded Yuan's two outs on the last two streets.

As for Wicks, a late heater sent him rocketing up the counts, and he won a huge pot without a sweat late when Kyle McKinney pushed all in with the A9 against him on a board of A810K, with Wicks holding the A10. The river was a 3, and Wicks collected a pot of 165,000 during Level 11 (1,000/2,000/300).

Some of the players who failed to bag: RunGood pros Ryan Tepen and Bernard Lee, as well as defending champ Brandon Fish, Duane Gerleman, "Farmer" Phil Mader, and Terry Karn.

Day 2 gets underway Sunday at noon local time, with $31,443 up top and 21 places paid. Levels move up to 45 minutes, and the winner will also claim a $2,000 World Series of Poker package. Things will kick off with about 12 minutes left in Level 13 (1,500/3,000/500), and all of the updates are available right here on PokerNews.
