Sunday Briefing: Romania’s "profit76" Wins $437K

Sunday Briefing

The Spring Championship of Online Poker at PokerStars almost rounded off another great festival on Sunday, but some events are still playing out. PokerNews will have a recap of the latest in SCOOP action in a separate article, but we couldn't pass up mentioning this huge event.

The 51st event of SCOOP, a $1,050 no-limit hold'em tournament with a $1,500,000 guarantee, saw a total of 2,813 players enter across a number of flights, and 307 of them progressed to Day 2. By the time the final table was set, each of the nine hopefuls was guaranteed almost $30,000, but the eventual champion, who turned out to be Romania's "profit76", walked away with a massive $437,420.71. Here's how that final table finished.
