Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Mizrachi Coming to 888live London This Week
Poker is such a beautiful game; you can just buy-in to an event and face off against some of your idols. Playing soccer with Messi or shooting hoops with Kevin Durant are out of the realm of possibilities for just about anyone, but playing poker with the world's greatest players is still a very real option.
Most of the time, you still have to save some time before you can square off with the big names in one of the bigger Main Events, but if you idolize Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Mizrachi, you're in luck. The 888live Festival London starts Oct. 13 and runs through Oct. 23. PokerNews will be there to report on all the big events. The 11-day festival features 17 tournaments and a handful of satellites priced as low as $165 and up to $2,650.
Kicking off the 888Live London Festival is a £100,000 ($135,000) guaranteed Opening Event that costs $300 to enter. Featuring three starting flights for the convenience of the players, the Opening Event is the perfect way to get the festival off to a flying start.
Almost every day, there's a $165 buy in Lightening Six-Max tournament, which lends its name from one of 888poker's online tournaments. This tournament has a 36-player cap, although alternates will be taken. Aspers Casino London will do all they can to ensure everyone is seated. Fans of deep stacks and faster structures should enjoy the $165 Turbo Mega Deep tournaments running throughout the festival.
The two larger buy in tournaments are the $1,080 buy in Main Event with a $265,000 (£200,000) guaranteed prize pool. You can qualify for these online at 888poker. The other is the $2,850 buy in High Roller which is sure to attract some of London’s elite poker players to the vast Aspers tournament floor.
