PokerStars Festival Hamburg Kicks Off Friday, Nov. 17

The PokerStars Festival is about to head to the Casino Schenefeld in Hamburg, Germany for 14 action-packed tournaments from Nov. 17-26.

Hamburg is Germany's second largest city with 1.7 million residents and is a popular tourist destination with the city providing a deep cultural and maritime theme.

PokerStars Festival Hamburg Schedule

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to cover the two biggest events of the festival, including the PokerStars Festival Hamburg €1,100 Main Event with a huge €500,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the PokerStars Festival Hamburg €2,200 High Roller.

The Main Event features four opening flights with players beginning with 30,000 chips. Blinds increase every 45 minutes on the first two opening flights on Nov. 22-23, and then the pace speeds up in the last two flights on Nov. 24 with blinds increasing every 20 minutes on Day 1c and every 15 minutes on Day 1d.

After the Day 1 flights are out of the way, blind levels will last 60 minutes for the remainder of the tournament on Nov. 25-26 until a winner is crowned.

Similar to the Main Event, the High Roller on Nov. 21-22 is a deep-stacked affair with players beginning with 30,000 chips and blinds increasing every 40 minutes.

The casino is hosting a handful of satellites for both of these tournaments where players can qualify into the events at a fraction of the cost.

  • PokerStars Open: Nov. 19-21, 2017 - €220
  • PokerStars Festival High Roller: Nov. 21-22, 2017 - €2,200
  • PokerStars Festival Main Event: Nov. 22-26, 2017 - €1,100 - €500,000 guaranteed
