Throwback Thursday: How Chris Ferguson Turned $0 into Tens of Thousands

Lynn Gilmartin & Chris Ferguson

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson has risen! Well, sort of. After a seven-year media silence, Chris Ferguson finally spoke publicly. He released a short apology video referencing Black Friday and his involvement with Full Tilt Poker. This came as a bit of a surprise as Ferguson had made a successful return to the 2017 World Series of Poker and actually won the WSOP Player of the Year without making a peep of the debacle.

For our Throwback Thursday, we are highlighting a video from 2011, back before Ferguson was entangled in scandal and controversy. Here, Ferguson explains to former PokerNews and current World Poker Tour host Lynn Gilmartin how he succeeded in a $0 to $10K bankroll challenge, eventually turning it into tens of thousands, on the now defunct Full Tilt Poker.

We will see how the poker world reacts to Ferguson's recent "apology," but based on his WSOP 2017 results, it is clear that Ferguson hasn't lost any of the skills that brought him to the highest level of poker eight years ago.
