There is a rumour that Pokerchamps is going under. Maybe the former CEO TonyG can comment on this. I do know that Pokerchamps is advertised as "The Home of Gus Hansen" and Gus hasn't played there in 4 or 5 months and basically has nothing to do with the site. Also, TonyG is no longer the CEO and the other "pro," internet player Erik123 has also left. It does smell fishy(and not in the sense of bad players) that none of it's name endorsers want anything to do with Pokerchamps. If they don't want their money in there, I don't think I do either.
I do know that Pokerchamps has it's own sofware from Aglet and every time you're a 70/30 favorite on that site you get drawn out on about 90 percent of the time. Almost as if on purpose, so you will play more and contribute more rake.
They have also increased the fees on the tournaments to try and compensated for the lack of traffic. I would not trust a site that refuses to give hand histories, and on which pokertracker will not work. That site used to show promise but it's almost all freerollers nowadays, very little traffic, and the software prevents almost anyone from winning. PC was sold to a UK company Betfair who has done nothing in 3 months, but i still say everyone stay away from Pokerchamps. It's a sinking ship and a con job. Tony G, your comments would be appreciated. why did everyone leave and would you recommend pokerchamps to anyone? i'm worried about people getting stuck in the door as so many people are running not walking away. That's a definite fire hazzard

Hotshoe,
was that a question or a recommendation in agreement with what i've said?

move of a recommendation....... i have seen other posts on other sites with the same concern you have about them shutting down.

Pokerchamps is safe. www.Betfair.com have bought pokerchamps and they make all calls now. Your money is 100% secure Betfair is a 1 billion dollar plus corporation. I am no longer part of pokerchamps that was betfairs call as well.

Ha ! What a complete farce of a post. You get draw out on 90% of the time when you are a %70/30 favourite?!?! I play at PokerChamps often as well as many other online poker sites and have been a +EV player there for nearly one year. You say "everyone loses because of the software". I think maybe you lose because your poker skills are not all that you think they are. I'm sure most people who have played online poker at many sites would agree that PC software is one of the best. As Tony said Betfair has huge plans for PokerChamps and only good things are coming.
Successful

What a joke you are successful. you're one of those donkeys that puts all their money in drawing to a 3 outter and calls the person you sucked out on, a fish. I love people like you at my table. Actually, i built from a $3 freeroll in the early days of pokerchamps when it actually had players, and Gus actually played at "his home," into a $900 bankroll. I have since left PC because there's no traffic. And playing against Danish Children, which really that's 90 percent of what PC is, isn't really a test of skill. It's a test of who can hit the best hand in an all in fest. That's what PC is. If PC is the "Best Site on the Net" as you allege, why is it ranked 39/40 on pokerlistings.com of ranked sites? ha ha ha ha. the "best site on the net" has 75% of players are freerollers. There's no action on PC. That's why no pros play there. It'a a ghetto b*stard red headed step-child of a poker site

Eric123 and gus were all shareholdes in pokerchamps, who sold to betfair...that why thay don't play there anymore
Your money is 100x safer now ,then before betfair took it over..it would take betfair over 6 months to bring everything under them
