Having played on 'stars for a while my opinion is that the site suffers from a similar number of bad beats like the one mentioned as almost everyone else. I finished 2nd in a Pot Limit Omaha tournament last night, twice cracking Aces with weaker drawing hands. Anything can happen in poker online, in casinos or in your home game. For the case in point, your opponent had 3 out cards, he hit and got lucky. This will happen to you often not just on Poker Stars.

If you were in the big blind with K2, you were unlucky, from any other position many might argue you got really shouldn't be playing K2!

Surely you had the better boat?

As for the original poster, don't play K 2!

In order to get in a Freeroll on PokerStars all you have to do is go to the Freeroll tab, click it and look at their listing of Freerolls. Click on the Freeroll you want to register for and it will let you know if you can register at that time or when the registration begins. However I do believe you have to already be a real money player in order to register in their Freerolls. Have Fun, Good Luck and I'll see you there.

hey guys i really enjoy reading your post i have to agree with the one post in that bad beats are a part of poker online and live my biggest problem with online poker and i do love playing online is that alot of times when people suckout on you they do it with hands that should not have been played with in the first place and you really dont see this quit as much playing live

Vantara no you don't see it that much in a live game because the people doing it to you online would rarely go to a casino and play live. Alot would also be underage and would not be able to get in a casino. Online poker brings together all levels of players and suckouts will occur. Remember though, you want these people in your pot with the rags they play. Eventually the odds for favourite hands winning will return to the norm and your bankroll will be rising.

As for the first post...Just unlucky you have to realize that anyone else holding any K in that hand more than likely isnt going to lay it down even facing an allin. The thing about Pstars tournys is that you have alot of players that are willing to call or go allin with almost any decent hand earlier to build a stack to make a serious run at the final table. However the sequence of cards do tend to favor the chip leaders that push with a big stack.Example pocket JJ getting busted by calling a preflop allin by the big stack who was holding J 3o and flops a set of treys.Last night I'm huge chip leader and started playing tight when I got moved to a loose table and noticed that 3 straight hands after becoming the chip leader I would have flopped a boat or a straight with the garbage I had just folded. As for the freerolls..They are great just not really worth playing the 5-6 hours necessary to make a final table. The field of 5-8k dwindles down to about 2-3k within the first hour and rapidly drops untill you hit the bubble for a seat in the champ weekly freeroll. They are fun though.

One thing to consider about taking a bad beat in Omaha is that AA is not a very strong hand unless you are talking double suited.Very different from holdem...AA will get cracked the majority of the time in omaha as it is more of a drawing game with numerous possibilities. So big pocket pairs such as AA, KK, etc. dont stand a great chance alone...Almost the same concept as playing low pocket pairs in holdem...usually worthless unless you connect on the flop.So I wouldnt really consider those to be bad beats as it is a drawing game.
