I got a popup saying the tourny has been shut down. Anybody know whats the scoop behind this?

Reminds me of the Pokernew's PokerRoom WSOP freeroll that was shutdown about 2 weeks ago. They ended up reschedualing and adding a couple thousand $ of extra tourney tickets to the prize pool

Hi all, we have called them up and we are waiting to hear back what will happen. Hopefully it will start shortly.

I received an email about the situation. I hope its not postponed til next weekend as I will be gone, but here is reponse I received from poker.com
Unfortunately today's scheduled PokerNews.com Freeroll at Poker.com was shutdown due to technical reasons and did not go ahead.
Rest assured the freeroll will be re-scheduled and played. I am proposing that we re-scheduled the tournament for the same time next Saturday, but will be checking with PokerNews.com management before confirming the new date and time.
I apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime I have issued all 40 affected players with an entry coupon in tomorrow's $20,000 freeroll at Poker.com.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Kind Regards,
Kris Robinson

Hi,
We have yet to hear from Poker.com, but it looks like this will be rescheduled.
We apologize for this inconvenience and will ask Poker.com to contact you all about the new time for the freeroll.
Rest assured, one of you will be heading to the WSOP!

Sorry we were unaware of the problem. This is unacceptable and we hope Poker.com will give EXTRA compensation to this. When we have correspondence from them we will post it here.

Hello,
Poker.com apologises for the Pokernews freeroll problem again today.
We have rescheduled the tournament to start at 16:30 server time. It will run now without problems, there was a problem with a particular player whose account was held which caused a bug to surface, shutting the tournament down.
I have also issued all 40 poker news players with a coupon to play in another Poker.com WSOP satellite, each worth $250 +25. If you would prefer the cash to a chance to win a WSOP seat, let me know and I will remove the coupon and deposit $250 to your account instead.
Good luck in the rescheduled tournament.

I just got home from a seminar I had to attend but I had my somebody ready to play the PokerNews Freeroll. I called him to see how he was doing at one point but said the tournament had been suspended. I check my email and tell him it had been rescheduled to 2:30 as the post mentions above. He was playing another tourny at poker.com bet 1:30 and 3:15 and the PokerNews Freeroll didn't pop up and he couldn't find anywhere and eventually left. Did the tournament actually take place later or has it been rescheduled again?
