doyles triple wsop freeroll false advertised

I am already a member at doyles room so to get a few referrals which pay 25 a piece i advertised around to anyone who i knew played to let them know about the wsop freeroll and even help teach someone for the past week to help them get through this freeroll. So one of them go to sign up a day after the tourny says registraion starts at the top..only to find out the tourny also ends registration on the same day. So i contact live chat at doyles room and they admit the problem after sort of bouncing me around through diffrent operators who all pretty much blew me off execept for sorry we made a mistake. So i ask after they say the tourny ran exactly as stated if the start date and end date of registration is the same exact time how did 200 people sign up. At that point they refused to answer any more questions and give me an email address. This is nothing less than false advertising a tournament for 36k dollars to gain attention to there website which in fact did at least to three people that i brought to them. If im not mistaken thats illegal. The attitude i got from the live chat operators was disconforting enough i may find myself another main site to play as doyle s room has been my primary spot on top of losing 75 bucks worth of referrals and if one of these players made it to the money of the world series i would recieve a % of. I now understand why false advertisement is such a big deal. I would like to write back and say they have added an extention to the registration or have done something to make up there admitted mistake to satisfy there customers..yes customers they are a buisness!

Jeff, if you read how to qualify you would read that it says you need to make a deposit before June 20th. Just because registration starts on June 20th doesn't mean you can still sign up. In all things of life you should always read the fine print.
Those 200 people that signed up deposited before June 20th and Doyles poker automatically signed them up.
This is a great site. You will not find better deals anywhere else on the net.

why should i have to read the fine print on a tourny when it clearly states at the top the registration begins june 20th,,,,,even doyles room admitted it was a mistake...its wrong and people should be able to have a chance to play in the tourny

People make mistakes. Do your own Due diligence. Do you buy stocks just on whims or do you research it.

yeah i know how they work i told people about how to sign up for the tourny ,,,you have to be affiliated with someone who has intrest and supporting the fact they advertised a freeroll wrong. theres no way around the fact that the freeroll was not ran in the way advertised. Its impossible that it opened and ended the same time which means its wrong. That s false advertisement . If i put an ad in the paper offering buy one get one free dinner at my restraunt that says at the top it starts at 8 pm but down the list say u gotta order before 8 the let 200 people eat before 8 for that discount and then someone shows up at the start time of the discount as it stated in the paper what do u think im gonna have to do...give the people who showed up late the same discount cause its false advertisement if i dont...if noone got the discount because the it started at 8 and ended at 8 no problem cause i did what i said.. hence the tounry signup says the start and end is the same time,,,which is not how they did it because 200 people didnt sign up in a miliisecond they made a mistake and yes i make mistakes but a buisness has to pay for its mistakes,,,there should be an extention on the registration for this tournament

hi Jeff,

Here is the thing, the triple freeroll was advertised on PokerNews for about one month, and it was stated very clear: To qualify for this fantastic event you need to create a Doyles Room account through PokerNews links (click Doyles logo to left) and make a deposit before June 20.

I think this answers your question, if you have made the deposit on 20th or latter then you cannot play this tournament, if you would post your nick in Doyles room here I might try to do something to get you in, although, cannot promiss anything to you, because of the reason stated above.

Jeff, would you sign your name on a piece of paper that says "WINNER OF $10,000" before you read the fine print.

I don't know what you are refering to in your post. I never said deposit on June 20th, I said deposit before. There are still many tournaments coming up. You should go for those.

If you did the refer-a-from the site for your friends, how would PokerNews know that you referred them because of just the WSOP tourny coming up?

Although there is a registration button for the upcoming tournament, the registration was added by DoylesRoom itself if one where to have deposited BEFORE June 20th via PN's link.

its really simple all i read is the the part at the top that said registration starts and then read down far enough to read if i needed raked hands,,,usually the rest of the stuff is useless,,,but besides that if i wouldve read down it still wouldnt have been correct cause its advertised two diffrent ways for the start dates,,doyles room is talking to me and they admit that a mistake was made and it is wrong and they dont know what there gonna do about it ,,probally nothing,,,and i get the referral from doyles not pokernews ,,,,,and black china u told some guy that on the other post that said doyles freeroll he was having trouble and u said to sign up on the 20th cause obviously at that time you read and understood it the same way i did.
