Hey PokerNews staff,
I noticed that you guys are giving poker.com a second chance after the the debacle last time. I noticed that it says to be eligible that "earn 2000 comp points from your play in the 60 days prior to each tournament in order to be eligible to play."
Well, I contacted support regarding the tourny and here is what they said:
Hi Joey
Thanks for your email
You need to talk to the affiliate poker news regarding this issue as
they organize the tournament.
Kind Regards,

Well since 60 days before the tourny is what the deadline said, I wonder if this was a typo and if not, when will coupons be issued since the poker.com support failed to answer my question?
Thank you PokerNews.

Hey Joey,
This is cut and pasted from the landing page
"Simply download the Poker.com software, then earn 2000 comp points from your play in the 60 days prior to each tournament in order to be eligible to play. As long as you first joined Poker.com via a link from PokerNews and you have earned the required comp points, the tournament will allow you to register."
So you need to earn 2000 comp points in the 60 days prior to the tournament. You have not done this. There are also no coupons being issued. Just click the register button and if you have completed the requirements you will be permitted to register.
Cheers,

the turney is special for players who have signed up to poker.com through pokernews.com. If you have done that then you are welcome to play.

Bump this
I signed up for poker.com through the special link from Pokernews and have gotten my 2000 points, but in the coupon section, it says that I signed up through the code "PNWSOP" and need 5k points. I am 100% certain I used the code POKERNEWS when depositing. Poker.com support said I needed to contact you all about this. What's the deal?

what happened to the tourney.. I gave up an incredibly juicy live cashgame to play in this tourney...
there goes my hourly rate

I was waiting for it and 10 minutes or so before the start there was a pop-up saying there was a problem and it was cancelled. What will happen now?
It is a good thing that at Poker.com lately is the number of people playing there.

Hi everyone. I emailed poker.com about the scenario and this is the bizarre response I received from them (I talked to Gedas and he or another PokerNews moderator will get a response from the poker.com sometime on Monday so please, don't go harassing Gedas right now
):
Hi Joey
Thanks for your email
Poker news is an affiliate tournament we are not aware of what time or
dates those tournaments will be running. You will need to contact the
affiliate for that information

This is an absolutely ridiculous reply. How can they not know when tournaments on their network are running.
Doesnt sound good for a positive result

Got the email as well... No compensations this time for the delay... I sure hope they get these things together...

I didnt get an email.. did get the ticket tough..
well anyway nevertheless I think it's (again) incredibly lame that the tournament was cancelled.. Didnt they learn from last time.. same bs all over again.
stayed at home to play in this tourney.. received a call from a mate who went to the juicy live game (which I dindt go to so i could play in this tourney) and he ended up making 900 euro!! wtf.. I think this is a really bad beat for me

well anyway I hope everything runs smoothly next sunday..
