Do not look at the North American lawmakers for the demise of Partypoker but look at Partypoker itself. The "poker" sites were fast becoming full blown casino sites, sports betting sites, backgammon, bingo etc.
If these sites were to have kept ONLY poker then I dare say we might not be at this point. Put yourself in a senators shoes. Why would ANY senator approve a measure that would compete directly with his own voting interests in his or her constituent.?
If you were for example in one of many states that had casino"s, then it would be political suicide to vote in favour of online gaming as you would have many votes to lose and few to gain. Online gambling brings all the social ills that gambling does with no reward to the U.S. economy. Simple.
Poker was at least to me, a harmless way to make a few bucks or spend some time. Once the deluge of casino games started making thier way to the "poker" sites, I knew it was only a matter of time before North American lawmakers had to make the choice they did. I myself asked Partypoker to permanently delete the blackjack game from my account. They always refused my request even though they had the tools to make this request a option.
Instead now, I have deleted Partypoker from my computer. You got what you deserved partypoker you greedy pieces of sh_ _.....
