I would like to start a discussion about a new company that is starting up to help US players continue to play at any poker room they choose. It is a geinus of an idea and they claim to have investigated it with all legal opinins saying it will work.

I wont post the website unless asked as I dont want to violate any forum rules.

But lets at least talk about it.

Uh....sure, a company that could do that would be fantastic. Could you elaborate more, with out giving any names? Like, how would a company do this?

Let's remember that the UNLAWFUL INTERNET GAMBLING ENFORCEMENT ACT of 2006 does not prohibit poker per se.

I have put together a group of adamant poker players, programmers, and of course a lawyer. We are working on putting together a %100 legal site to play poker on-line. It would be soley poker, no other crap, and to keep it legal we would have to do things like not collect a rake and take many other precautions. We are working on it as we speak and currently I'm trying to spread the word. If you have any comments please let me know.

I just want to know which pokersites continued accepting U. S players because it seems that some of them just kicked us out.

I opened an account with Pokerhost and I just want to know what options do we have. Don't get me wrong I like this poker room I found some interesting things here like promotions, initial deposit bonuses and all his stuff.

I want to know from old players or currently players in this site what do you think about it? And if you have recommendations will be great.

I just want to mention that I'm interested on the sites that accept US players

I hope this don't get me banned but here is what we been waiting for.

It is time to introduce you to the Players Investment Company and United States Poker Players Inc.

In light of the new legislation passed by the US Government to prevent U S players from transacting business with Poker Rooms and Gaming sites, we have created a new way to facilitate these transactions that is 100% legal for the players and for the Poker Rooms. We will be the next Neteller for the US market.

In essence what we have done is to take the open door that the U S Government has left open in every law they have tried to pass since the wire act. They have always exempted Securities and trading each time and the new law is no different.

So here is what we created....United States Poker Players Inc. is a Costa Rican based S.A located in San Jose and is the 1st of its kind Poker Playing Business. As we advertise "USPPINC" is an Investor/Employee Owned Poker Playing Business". With the agreement of our owners and investors we contract poker players to play online for the company.

USPPINC is also the owner of Players Investment Company. "PIC" is a Uruguay based S.A.F.I. Internationally Licensed Financial Services Company. PIC is authorized to trade in Shares, Metals, Currency's etc. PIC will be the transaction arm of the USPPINC for the players to buy and sell shares of USPPINC to the poker rooms and play for those shares.

There is much more information at our website about the company and its formation. I encourage you to explore it. www.pic-club.com. We are scheduled to launch this February.

We are scheduled for the Feb. Issue of Bluff Magazine and Press Releases have already started to show up at online mags, forums and blogs. Listen to Holdem Radio Jan. 25th from 8:00pm - 9:00pm for our online interview.

WE CAN SUPPLY THE U S MARKET NOW AND IN THE FUTURE REGARDLESS OF THE IMPENDING ENFORCEMENT OF THE NEW LAW.

there`s a really quite simple way to sort this mess out. the reason the u.s. government legislated against online poker is because they couldn`t tax players. the moral issues given are bunkum. so why don`t the likes of netteller deduct 10% of all u.s. deposits and pay the government

As an Australian I want the US players the more the better. Imagine learning online poker without them. They are overall good players and its better to learn poker from good players.

As a European I always felt that the underlying reasons for not legalising online poker had to do with taxation and money laundering issues. What I also observe is the legal distinction made between gambling/gaming and casual games of skill where wagering is allowed. Sit down tables and tournaments qualify to my way of thinking as casual games of skill. I am aware of one British based company who lost its US clients because of the changes in the gaming laws. This company is making a comeback later this year through the casual games community. It will be interesting to see how this evolves.
