In a long-awaited move, the World Trade Organization [WTO] has issued its 'compliance panel report' on the matter of the complaint brought by the tiny nation of Antigua and Barbuda in its complaint against the United States...
i agree, this is a small step, but unless anyone else follows, it means nothing. the game of poker will never suffer, but its the online community like myself that takes this whole thing in offense. ive never been a fan of the WTO, but then again, that may be all we have left.
Its going to take a significant economic power to have a chance at changing US policy toward online gaming, and even then it will be difficult. The UK in coalition with other EU countries might be able to pull it off, but nothing short of that will. Although this ruling reaffirming the original decision in favor of Antigua is positive news, the only real affect it will have is to encourage others to file similar complaints.
