Hi guys the problem is I prefer S&G tourneys because it is supposed to be an easy and quick way to make quick bucks. I stay on the lower tables to make sure I make a profit, but playing at pacficpoker, even the lowest tables are getting so competitive it is a real bother where it should be a quick play. They keep wither checking all the time or bluffing and streaching the games, and it is becoming a pain. Do you know rooms where there are quicker, easier S&Gs?

As poker gets more popular people are learning more. You do get the donk here and there but the competition is getting harder. Time to change your style of play and outplay them. I hear Bodog is a donk fest but no idea about the sit n gos

usually people play tighter at sit&go's, even if they are lower buy-ins, at least I have noticed that many times I have played them.
Players seem to be crazy when playing bigger cash tournaments, maybe it is because of the fact that its very good to build up big stack at the start and play only the best hands later on, or be able to bluff more.

I don''t really see your problem, I never had any challenges on small tables in the sit & go. Maybe you are not going to the right game types, or maybe the S&G at pacificpoker are small

Bodog is a good site for SnG's. If you have some time to build your bankroll, Bodog has Beginner SnG's that pay out 5 places out of 10. These are simple to stay in the money and take the time to build the BR. Just stay tight aggressive and it's no problem cashing.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

My experience is, the bigger the network is, the easier the tourneys are. But it also means you will be on a very long waiting list.

Bodog has some easy SIT N GOS at the low levels but you have to be ready for some Swings with their Maniac types they have because they will suck out

Hey, Kiol !
I used to have a same problem playing at pacific. I consider myself as a good SNG player but I made a very small profit , normally playing $10 with 10 players and $8 with 20.4 months ago I switched to $50 and $30 SNGs ( 10 - 20 people) and as a result, every month I make about $2000 playing part time. I found lower limits harder to make profit, you get so many callers that sometimes game becomes a lotto. Try to do the same thing , it might help. Very yery tight early stages and loose agressive late stages - thats my strategy, 68 games this month - $1700 with 60 % ROI.

There are lots of sites that have S&G's but for the most part...you will probably want to go to a site that runs them constantly. I have had good success on a variety of sites but I prefer to play on the mid level sites rather than the giants like Party and Stars. Check out either fullcontactpoker.com or pokerroom.com....they have a wide variety of S&G's while not being over run with online pros that are looking to clean up on fresh meat. Pokerroom also apparently offers mobile poker now as well....so you can play tourneys or cahs games on a wireless handset!!

I have a friend who plays the beginner Bodog (5 places paid) $16 + $1.60, grinding out a living, sort of,who says the time of day is the key to winning. Using the super-tight early strategy just doesn't work in the daytime hours in the U.S. everyone else is playing the same way, this player makes the most after people get off work on the East coast up until 2 or 3 am and especially on weekends. She wants to move up, but there are no more 5-places-paid structures anywhere else that we can find. Are there any 4-places-paid structures anywhere?

There are some really good lower limit SnG's on PokerRoom.com....but as someone mentioned before, the time of day has a lot to do with the type of players you will play against. Usually if you play during the day...you will face other online pros who are playing tight and waiting for the meat as well. Then it just comes down to who is catching cards that day and you will become a victim of the poker bug. However, I have been playing $10-$50 SnG's on PokerRoom after work in the evening and my results have been outstanding. On top of that, they recently started offing mobile poker, so you can play any cash game or tourney on your cell phone while you are out. Recipe for divorce or what??
