hey folks!
i''''m not sure who would win the pot in the following scenario:
i''''m up against someone and we both have made a diamond flush on the flop. there is an ace of diamonds showing on the board so does that mean we both have made the nut flush and therefore it''''s a split pot, or does the person with the highest diamond in their own hand win it?
thanks for your help, much appreciated

Ozyri, You can't be serious with that answer!
Just as the kicker decides whose Ace is high, so does the highest suited card in ones hand. If the flush is on the board and no one holds a card of that suit, then it's a spit pot, otherwise, the one with the highest card of that suit (it must be higher than the lowest card in the flush on the board) making the flush, wins.

Pessimistic Optimism is the best I can muster.
