I deposited on Wingows and earned over 200 Wingow Points which should make me qualified for this freeroll. But I have received no ticket or password or anything. Wingows says contact PokerNews. I've tried Live Support but no help. They said email support. Now they say that I should wait. I hope they're right.

if you did earn your points in the required dates (You must then earn 200 Wingows points between Feb 26 00:00 EST and May 11 23:59 EST to gain entry.) there should be something wrong at wingows end. I have sent an email to our manager at wingows, but I am quite sure that he wont be able to help us today.
I said this many times now, and will say many I guess, please contact us at least 2-3 days before the actual tournament start. Usually poker room support cannot help up with special tournaments, only affiliate managers can do that, and, sadly, they are not working 24/7.

Gedas, unfortunately this was not possible. Registration only started last night so there was no way of knowing that we would need some kind of password. This all comes as a big surprise.
05-12-2007 07:15
I haven't gotten a password email either and I contacted them in mid April as soon as I reached the required points. I know as much time as possible is given to reach the requirements, but I think registration should be a couple of days before to allow for things like this. btw there is currently no-one registered ...

I guess misery loves company so I'm glad that I'm not in this alone. As players, we did what was required to qualify. As Scriptdude said, there wasn't any more time to know that there was a problem. I personally contacted Wingows support as soon as I reached the required points and was told that everything was OK. This was the only site that allows U.S. players that I didn't already have an account. So this was my one shot at playing in a Pokernews Freeroll.

What a shame. I was really looking forward to this one, because of the deepstack nature.
I suggest Pokernews removing the entire site from "recommended" rooms. They don't answer support emails, nobody plays there and they basically manage to screw up this freeroll which took forever to qualify for.
05-12-2007 13:07
I agree but remove them right AFTER we get to play. Like I said, this is the only US friendly site I can qualify on. It's asking for a password so I don't understand why in the next 20 hours PokerNews can't get it and with Wingows help, email it only to those that qualified.

Hi everyone, I am in the same boat as you but there is nothing we can do now. The manager is off on the weekend. Pokernews will make it up to everyone so don't worry. I haven't had a problem with their support since I've been with wingows.
05-12-2007 19:38
I'm in the same boat too. I played for about a month by wingows but i must say i'm really disappointed in several kind of ways. I sent them lots of emails, but almost none of the answers i get were sattisfying. I was looking forward to this freeroll, but now there's again another problem. I also sent them an email about this problem, but no answer. I think wingows isn't ready to be a 'recommended' room, they just need a lot of improvements...

hey all
My name is Colin Anderson and Im affiliate and Marketing manager at Wingows Poker...
I am here to explain what is going to happen today.
All qualifying players have been sent an email telling them they qualify for the tournament today.
All qualifying players will be added to the tournament manually by Wingows 1 hour prior to the start of the tournament to avoid players that didnt qualify being able to register.
The tournament starts at 2pm EST and I want to take a moment to wish all qualifying players the very best of luck!!!
And we look forward to seeing the winner in Vegas in June!!!!
Best Regards
Colin

Hi Again Guys
Im sorry i never got back to anwering the questions yesterday...
As I said in my previous message, all qualifying players have been sent an email inviting them to play today at 2pm.
The reason that we decided not to issue a password is that we know from prvious tournaments that passwords get leaked and this is not fair to players that take the time to meet the requirements.
Again please dont panic as we have everything under control and again wish you all the very best of luck...
If anyone has questions or queries then please do not hesitate to email me...
colin@wingows.com
Best of Luck to you all
Colin
