yep postponed twice with 15min.
dont think we will play tonight

This is ridiculous. I understand that Wingows would like more players to be referred by PokerNews but.....Bodog had a PokerNews freeroll for the WSOP Main Event with ONLY 16 players. It's a risk that you take. If they end up rescheduling, ONLY the 23 that are currently registered should be allowed to play. WE did our part to qualify. Now PokerNews and Wingows (mainly Wingows) need to do their part and have this freeroll. It doesn't state on PokerNews that there must be 50 to have the tournament, so I think this is a stipulation put in by Wingows. Postponed for 15 minutes 3 times so far, so we'll see if it's canceled but it looks that way. Arrrgggghhhh.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

it says 50minimum
so u need to get that.
its bad for us(especialy because its 2:40 in the morning here)but understandabel from wingows.
07-21-2007 16:41
Understandable but honestly, they will NEVER get 50. Not today or for the next 2.

Hi Guys
FIrstly let me apologize for the inconvienience caused last night to all players that qualified..
Nor myself or our marketing director put a minimum players on the tournament and by the time I actually saw the min players, it was too late to get changed...
I have sent an email to gareth and will sort thing out with him asap as to what has to be done about the mix up...
We hope this does not upset your playing at Wingowspoker and we look forward to seeing you all back at the Wingowspoker tables very very soon...
Best Regards
Colin

I too was waiting to play this tournament. Here are the thoughts I've sent in an email to pokernews support...
(I honestly don't think that there were any more than a handful of us waiting to play.)
---------------------------------------------------------
It is my feeling that the only just recompence for what happened on Saturday night is this...
The tournament should be rescheduled with only those who were logged in to play on the evening of the original tournament being eligible to compete.
A good number of the 23 entrants had been registered all day. It is my feeling that a great many of them would have been sitting out to blind off once the tourney started. Those not logged in at the original tourney's start time should not be eligible given that they did not intend to play.
Best regards,
Kevin

no problem colin.
i hope there will be a good solution for it. (maybe just send all the 23 reg. players to the pncup
)
we will wait for your solution i just hope that everyone will get an email about that.
thanks and greetings,

Like IMINTHEZONE i'm from Holland to, off course this time was not the most preferred for us (2 o clock in the morning), but anyways so be it.
I really would like to get an email with information about the solution Wingows is going to come up with.
I waited for over 45 minutes to play and when IMINTHEZONE said i woul probably be cancelled i just called it a night and went to bed.
Dear Wingows,
Ik spoke to one and other in the Live Support that day/night, but there weren't really clear about any solution or any alternative.
I woul really appreciate an email with information about how it goes further.

OK Tomas, you wanted some time. As of today, it's been a week. How much more time do ya'll need? And I know that the real question is how much more time does Wingows need. Through all of the correspondence, the common theme came through. There was a mistake at Wingows setting a minimum player requirement. Mistakes happen. I understand. But now Wingows needs to step up and resolve the problem QUICKLY. Generally, I would think that 1 week would be enough time for them to come up with the solution.
Still waiting.

Hi Guys
There is a process that we have to go through in order to get a new dat scheduled for the rescheduled tournament...
The new date has been set up and as soon as the tournament is visible in the Wingowspoker lobby, we will post the date officially on Pokernews. We will aslo be sending all players that qualified an email inviting them to sign up..
The new date that we are working towards is August 11th 2007...
Good Luck!!!

Thanks Colin. A little information is all I was looking for. Also, thanks for giving that much notice. Now plans can be made around that date rather than canceled because of it.
I do have one question. Will this be only the 23 players that were qualified and signed up originally? Sure hope so.
Thanks

Thnx Colin for the info...
@davega
I sure hope so, that the freeroll will be only played for the ones that where logged on at that time.
07-31-2007 10:31
Correct me if I am wrong...
But the only people who seem to have noticed the Freeroll didn't happen (ie. the only ones who did what was required to qualify AND show up for tournament when it was scheduled) are:
IJsbeer_NL
davega
nickname (IMINTHEZONE)
& kwarburton (aligator_al)
I'm sure Wingows would have some kind of record as to whether or not any of the other 23 registered for the were logged in during the scheduled start time.

"Correct me if I am wrong... "
Not everyone posts on the forum - I've been talking with Tomas about this through the live support.....
Like you guys though - my assumption is that this has to be restricted to those players who were registered at the time before.....
08-01-2007 04:07
Fair comment Poker Player.
I think it goes without saying that the tournament should be restricted to those players who were registered last time.
But even further (as I've said previously) ... Those not logged in at the original tourney's start time should not be eligible given that they did not intend to play.
I altered my schedule significantly (and inconvenienced those around me who I care about) to play in the original tournament. Why should EVERYBODY get a second chance when a good majority were content to let their first chance blind away?
Nobody from Pokernews or Wingows has addressed this point in my own personal correspondence OR on this forum. I'm not trying to be belligerent here. Nor am I an unreasonable person. I merely want some form of feedback or response directly in regards to this point. If my notion is misguided - please by all means point it out.
Arguably by now, everybody who qualified / showed up to play / experienced the disappointment and frustration of the cancellation of the original date has communicated in some way with Tomas or Colin - be it through this forum or solely by private correspondence (as you've done Poker Player) - it is not like they would have to look very far to come up with a list of eligible players for the rescheduled tournament.
08-01-2007 08:40
OK. I see the PokerNews Freeroll in the Private Tournament Section on Wingows scheduled for August 11th at 8 EST. This should be the make up tournament since PokerNews lists another on August 25th. I look and I see that there are 23 signed up. Makes sense because there were originally 23 signed up before the last one was canceled.
Imagine my SURPRISE when I look and see that I AM NOT ON THIS LIST and neither is IMINTHEZONE. This means that Wingows has allowed players OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL 23 THAT WERE REGISTERED for the CANCELED tournament to register for the make-up tournament. THIS IS SIMPLY WRONG. I don't care if there were other players that had qualified but failed to sign up for the canceled tournament. I don't care if other players have qualified since the canceled tournament.
The simple facts are that there were originally 23 players signed up when WingowPoker canceled the tournament due to THEIR SCREW-UP. And those are the ONLY players that should be allowed to enter the make-up tournament.
It's not a make-up tournament if OTHER players are allowed to play. It's an additional tournament. That's not what Colin from Wingows led us to believe this would be. RESCHEDULED should mean same players, different time.
Now I'm ticked again.
I welcome any comments and would love some answers.
