just a question...
There was/should be a PNcup tourney on saturday, but I couldn't find it.
The private section for tourneys was empty and yes I have played 100 raked hands.

Hey Guys
Due to the fact that Wingowspoker was at fault in the mix up of the last tournament, we have decided to hold a special tournament just for the 23 players that were registered..
We will host and sponsor this freeroll after the final Pokenrews cup freeroll as an official apology for the mix up with the last tournament
Best Regards
Colin
Just wanted to move this one back up to the top. Tomorrow is the last PokerNews Cup Freeroll on Wingows so the "Make-Up" tourney should be scheduled soon, eh??

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

Well, it's been a week since my last post about this. I sent an email to colin@wingows.com.....it came back rejected. I've sent another to support@wingows.com and have heard nothing. Appears to me that Colin was just blowing smoke up our !$#@$.
So it's time to get ticked again.

this is the reply:
I have sent off this make up tournament for next THursday...... As soon as I get conformation on the tournament being set up I will email you the conformation and also send an email out to the 23 registered players so they are aware they have a ticket to play in this event
best luck to you all on the tourney

Clearly this tournament isn't happening. And even if it does, I'm not all that sure I'm going to be able to make it to Australia in time (assuming I win... which is somewhat of a stretch)
Admins - can you please delete my post above that starts "WELL DONE"
Also, can you put a big bold box around my post on page one that calls out the absolute ineptness of everyone involved in the set-up, promotion and execution of this ill-fated tournament.
- This looks bad on Wingows
Did they ever really intend to hold this make-up tourney? My guess is that they've washed their hands of this.
It also looks bad on Pokernews
I realize that Pokernews is an Affiliate Site that depends on people signing up through its links for its revenue stream.
However, I believe it is imperative that Pokernews be somewhat discriminate with who it aligns its name with in its promotions. The Poker Forum is littered with people who are unhappy with sites and promotions endorsed by pokernews. (kudos should be given to the admins for leaving these posts up)
In terms of bias in recommending sites - I have yet to see a pokernews sponsor receive anything less than a 4.5 out of 5 on the review page.
To be thought of as having integrity is something that is very hard to earn and very easy to lose... based on its actions, I do not believe that Pokernews sees this to be important.
I am very interested to see how all parties involved handle this. Originally, all we saw was people trying to pass the buck. Will we see it again?
