Hi!
I studied computer engineering, thou I havent finished, i remember a class where they tought us to write "random" alghoritms. And is just not possible to program 100% random alghoritms. They use something called stocastic processes. Now, I beleive some sites do have great alghoritms, but some others are poor, so you are more likely to have the same hands again, and i mean it. I specifically recall something that happened on Carbon Poker. I was playing on a six handed table and I was on the button with pocken 10's. 2 limpers, and I raised to 3BB to go (4BB total). Only the BB and 1 more limper called. Flop: 7s 5h 3h. Both checked and I raise potsize. The BB called, the limper folded. River Qc BB checks, I raise to a bit more than 1/2 pot size, BB calls. River: Kh and the BB goes all in wich was a lil more than 20% the potsize and I called. Boom: 7h 2h later on I asked him why did he call he said he thought I was trying to buy the pot and he was just defending the blinds.
A couple days later, the exact same hand. I was on a 6 handed table, on the button (I remember this because I play funsteps here, they are 6 handed) and got pocket 10's. I do not why, I just remember my hand, and this time only 1 limper and I called. The exact same flop hit the board. BB bets like 3BB, limper folds, and I call, exact same turn, we both check, and exact same turn. BB bets and I called just for the experience, I wanted to be sure if what I was whitnessing was true.
So I beleive, that they are not trying to control who will get the chips, but they have very poor programming (Carbon poker) and less possible combinations than other sites. I'm on an experimet here, I'm playing fun games on 6 handed tables and I´m cathegorizing the cards I get by position and the cards wich hit the board. is quite difficult, because in order to do it effectively I will have to see every hand to the river, and it takes some time. It helps when you fold and your opponent hunts the rabbit (something possible at this site). but still it will take me a lot of time for sure, I am just trying to see if something like this happens again, and if it has happened on the real world, for sure I do not remember.
What do you think?
