the words 'Liz Lieu appears to be the odds-on favorite going into the event' are mis-leading as Liz Lieu's price is 6 to 1 against. Although she is favorite, shes not an odds-on favorite. small detail but so many mistakes are made when people talk about betting, odds-against, odds-on, lay etc etc - dont want to give people the idea shes that much of a favorite, no-one would be odds-on going into a poker tournament.

I agree that "odds on favorite" was probably too ambiguous. In general terms, it means "more likely than others to win." And indeed, according to the odds, she is more likely to win than others. But she does not have better than even odds to win. So while she is a favorite among the field, she is not a favorite against the field. Thanks for allowing me to revisit this. Points to tictoctoe.
