Recently, I was playing in a live tourney and during break the topic turned to online play. I mentioned that I played some on Bodog and one of the other players said that nobody plays on Bodog anymore since they caught the guy with the program. Unfortunately, this was right as break was ending and I didn't get to ask any questions. Has anybody heard anything about this?
Also, does anybody else play at all on Bodog?

Hey,
I played a few times, my best summery of it is especially average. This is not completely a bad thing because there is nothing drastically wrong with it, just nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd.

I wish I could, but for some reason Bodog is the only site that doesn't accept Canadians.

Nothing against Canada, but it makes me feel a little better that somebody knows at least a little how the US players felt with so many sites pulling out of our market.

I asked this 7 months ago so I thought I'd bring it back up. Does anybody play Bodog? How about Wibble? You still playing?

I can't seem to get over the cartoonish layouts on FullTilt. It's just me...nothing wrong with the site.

Davega,
You have already probably found this out for yourself, but bodog can no longer accept standard (free) forms of direct payment. They used to accept visa/mastercard, but visa/mastercard no longer allows credit transfers to bodog in the US! There are still alternate methods of deposit, but if you read carefully they either charge you a percentage of the transfer amount as a fee, or they require you to deposit a large sum of cash, and withdraw any winnings back out through them, where they take a rake of all earnings. I guess this is a better option because they only charge you if you win, but it still sucks. Either way its like a rediculous 8% of cashflows. If it wasnt enought that bodog rakes 5% of all pots up to $15 bucks!?
That being said, anyone know a good alternative online game that still accepts direct forms (visa, mastercard, amex, online direct deposits) of payments in the US?

I did find that out about the depositing at Bodog. I'm in the same boat as you....looking for a good alternative game.

I recently started playing at bodog again. They took my visa and I have a check on the way.
