Eleven states have enacted some form of anti-online gambling legislation? Not even close. Where did you get that idea?

Technically only nine states have enacted some form of anti-online gambling legislation. Although not explicitly covered in New York and New Jersey laws, recent prosecutions have set a precedent whereby aspects of online gambling were interpreted by the courts as a criminal act. At this point Microgaming is banning service to New York and New Jersey residents (along with the residents of the other nine states) because of those legal interpretations. A good resource for state gambling law can be found at http://www.gambling-law-us.com/State-Laws/
