Judiciary Hearing Set for Wednesday
The United States Committee on the Judiciary, which oversees the Department of Justice, will conduct a hearing this Wednesday on the topic of Internet gambling. The hearing comes about at the behest of Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI), one of 40 Congressmen who has signed on in support of the Frank bill to date. Poker is a part of the discussion after gaining visibility via the Poker Players Alliance's D.C. Fly-In. Besides hearing from Congressmen on both the pro and anti side of the issue, representatives from the DoJ and Treasury will attend, along with an unnamed expert in WTO policy. Annie Duke is scheduled to attend and provide testimony on poker's behalf.
This is a very important hearing. Hopefully, our beloved Congress can "see the light" and reopen the market for online poker. Keep your fingers crossed.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.
