in all fairness, why have women's only events?
imho the biggest forte of poker is that there are equal chances for both women and men, maybe even more chances for women, because they are more socially capable than men.

Just think of the responses we would get organising a men's only event... I'm sure feminists wouldnt approve...

I need a girlfriend who loves me for my money... and is pretty bad with math.

This topic seems to surface each time there is an article on women's poker. I understand the point about there not being "men's only" events BUT, I don't agree with the premise that having Ladies Events hurts anything. As I've said in other posts, this allows women to play in events where otherwise, they wouldn't play at all. The idea is to get more women playing poker. It's the same premise as having a Senior's Event. It hurts nothing. It only helps poker.

Look at it this way. If "men" would dominate the ladies events if they were allowed to play, then men should be able to empty the pockets of these ladies as they prepare on the cash tables.

Simply, "No harm, no foul".
