played my first game of NPL last night cause i finished at 7pm and couldnt get to an APL game NPL started at 730pm...now there is some history between myself and the guy that runs this NPL,but i thought 15 months is a long time so shouldnt matter ,under the bridge so to speak, now the rules are a bit different there,we signed up had a few mates playing there...the story goes if you get brought along by someone they get extra starting chips of $1000 and so do you....great....but wait......because we didnt walk up together (mate was getting beer).....this NPL guy said you dont qualify.......ok first hurdle.....not happy......start playing..........got told was being too loud........through the first hands.....woops...another hurdle.......got told cant talk at table.......hang on seems to be an issue here.......i pulled him over and said have you got a problem...he said and i quote"we dont like your type of play round here we play nice!"......i dont know what that meant.........anyway i got deep in chips had about 18,700 at the second break came back.....was chipped up(so i thought)...i had $16,000...i called him over again......he said no thats how much you have.......i said no i didnt...i counted my chips and told two guys i didnt know next to me.....so under duress he gave me what i was supposed to have.......the guy is weak.Tried to cheat me out of the game......got further in about 22,000 he came over to me and my bro that was playing and said you guys are not allowed here anymore,i asked why"he said i dont like you "...i said are you holding a grudge.he said "yes"....i said your being a child..."he said you can leave now...and yes i am a child...anyway got knocked out on final table finished 4th........words exchanged etc etc........and left.......but if this is what happens at NPL.....forget about it ...

hai,
I have played in the Apl first and then started playin in the Npl when it was launched. I did get a lot of slack and attitude at first from the guy who was running it, I thought it was because i was from the Apl and he didnt like that, But that did not stop me from playing there cause i needed the challenge and i was getting heaps. It was just improving my game.
I really thought he was just only being mean to me BUT i have notice after playing there for some time now and looking at how he is running the NPL that i can truely say that he is VERY CONSISTENT lol , he treats everybody the same, it was not just me...lol. And with him it is WYSIWYG " what you see is what you get"
you always know where he stands.
He might not have the people skills of Amon
BUT you can see that he is running the league honestly.
And for the other issue of why there is this unwritten rule that players cant cross over or play in the other leaugue or even both leagues is a bit of a mystery...hmm
. Cause i usually play in the venue which was close to my home. I support free poker and i think players should be able to play anywhere they want..
THE only reason i can think of is maybe they want to give more players a chance to win the prizes and not the same good players winning the prizes from both leagues. Even though it is a million times harder said than done..."winning" LOL
"Need my fix"

Wow this sounds so familiar...same situations in my area of NPL games....guys take your league back to the back rooms and garages where it belongs......APL all the way fro me.....friendly TDs and safe freindly atmosphere and a better run game and quality of players.
