My wife recently asked me, "Do the players in other countries who use other than $'s as their primary currency see $'s or their primary currency on the table when they play"?
I know many things, but I don't know this. Can someone answer that question. If your primary currency is Euros or the Pound, is your deposit made in dollars at the current exchange rate, or do you deposit in your currency and then when you go to a table, your table stakes is converted at the current exchange, assuming the site is using $'s or do you in fact see the symbol for Euros, Pounds, etc. ?

its the room who chooses the currency, for example i can deposit in pokerstars with euros, but hey will immediatelly exchange it to $ and i play with $. I guess it is teh same in the rooms who have chosen their primary currency as euros... did i answer your question?

I know that the Ipoker network used my account in the currency that I have (€) and that they exchange it every time I start a tournament, or buy chips for a cashtable.
most funny thing I can remember was seeing my buyin amount decrease over time. at first the cost for a $5.50 sng was about €4.80, in the end it was something like €3.80

With the fall of the US dollar, I'd love to see the cost of poker go down. Somehow, I don't see that happening.

Yes, thanks for the responses. I figured there had to be some kind of conversion to accomodate the masses.
