I am not attached to an affliate, but they cant change it they say. Does someone know a way how to do this.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Unfortunatley, putting the account in your girlfriend's name would allow you to win HER a seat since all prizes are nontransferable. If there's another way around it, I'd love to know.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

Right now, the only site I can try to qualify for anything through PokerNews on is Duplicate. And that's a crap shoot.

Is there any room you guys do not play real money account? I mean you didn't open a real money account?

Let's see...
US friendly sites-PokerStars, FullTilt, UltimateBet, AbsolutePoker, Bodog, Doyles, and PokerTime previously and Duplicate, Sportsbook, and (unfortunately) Wingows through PokerNews.
Non-US friendly sites-PartyPoker, Titan, CDPoker, Noble, Pacific, Paradise, PokerRoom, and SunPoker.
There may be more but that's all I have records of. So you see, options to play with PokerNews is limited.

That and the unwillingness of the poker rooms to assign or change affiliation. I think that there should be a one year agreement when you sign up through an affiliate. After that time, you (the player) should have the option of either changing affiliation, remaining under the same affiliate, or dropping any affiliation altogether and receiving rake back instead. This wouldn't effect the poker rooms, only the affiliates. This would also cause the affiliates to continue to show a value to the players (like PokerNews does).

I have the same problem I think
People who are on pokernews mostly have an PS account with real money? Why should you otherwise be here? I hope this can be changed in the future because now you will only get people who only sign up to play the freerolls :s
