i have been playing on pokerstars for the past month and have noticed some strange things happening. playing omaha hi lo people continually get perfect hands that scoop both pots and such, this isnt too relevant. one thing that is really making me suspiscious is that i enter into some holdem tournaments; one tourney a guy raises all in pre flop, no one calls him, second hand raises to 220, i have A8 and realize i have him in bad shape most likely, i push in, he calls and shows 54, he flops straight. not much later i am in another tourney, with 2700 around 18th place early in a tourney and i get AK, i just call, a guy after me raises to 200, 2 other callers behind me, i go all in, he calls with 10 8 off and another guy calls with 44. flop came four, six, queen. then runner 9, 7.

these are a few hands that stick out in my mind, and i know i didnt get my money in very well but it is funny how these people raise with anything and make the nut hand after all the cards are up.

is there any patterns or anything i do not know about, i mean i hear people praising pokerstars all the time but i dont hear too much about these really strange plays. and if there are patterns, is it legal to have patterns on a site that claim to have RNG. can you all share some opinions and such with me.

Don't get me wrong....I wasn't complaining. Kwarburton has accused a few of us of wearing tinfoil hats, etc. I personally believe in action flops in online poker. And I've had some absolutely idiot callers that caught runner-runner to take my stack. I think anybody playing online has.

And welcome to the forum.

Ever be playing a table and some guy shows up and instantly starts winning? No matter what you or anyone else plays, he wins, nearly every hand. Then when he leaves, the wins become random again. I continue to observe this and still believe that user accounts are ranked. And if you're at a table with a high ranked account, your done for. But, if you happen to be ranked higher than others at your table, enjoy the rush!

Don't hate me, Bassor, but maybe that guy was just a better player than the rest of the table so when he left, the playing field was level again?

Seriously, I generally open extra tables then only stay on the tables that I'm winning on. Protects me from being outclassed.

No, I'd never hate you. Hell, I don't even hate my ex-wives. I don't like em much, but no hate in my bones.

And anybody that shows up and right off, hits everything, is not a better player. Not at my table.
