Here's another great opportunity I'll miss because I had a Bodog account before joining PokerNews. Good luck to those that can play in these.

Very sad. Only 3 players signed up for the 1st $10 qualifier for the PokerNews/Bodog WSOP freeroll. Top 10 got a seat.

yes too bad.. seems many, that otherwise would, will NOT even pay to play because they are unable to meet the requirements and become eligible to win.
I too would like to meet the requirements but it seems I can NOT.
how many of the three that paid are NOT eligible, believed they would be, and will not be refunded? 3 - lol.
Bodog could allow a depositor, or any Bodog player, to use a code when making a deposit to indicate that their deposit is being made in order to qualify for PokerNews events; so then any Bodog player could get their PokerNews badge and proceed to become eligible for and play in PokerNews events as both a Bodog and PokerNews player.
errrr.. but it is about New Sign-ups and Initial Deposits.
but it seems they missed the mark for the pay to play market.
errrr.. unless that is about pay to play for both eligible and ineligible players?

Well, I've said this in the past but I'll say it again....
When signing up to a poker room, you should have to list which affiliate you are signing up under. This should be good for 1 year (have to lock something down for the affiliates). At the end of the year, you should have the option of renewing under that affiliate, switching the affiliate you are playing under, or going free agent- no affiliation. This way you are not locked under one affiliate forever and can move to be affiliated with the site that you choose.
Just my opinion.

I agree. More so, for those of us who were ignorant to affiliations when we first signed up on a site. We've had no opportunities to participate in the freebies and no future for such opportunities, especially for US players.

Pessimistic Optimism is the best I can muster.

i was in the game then poof gone , says i won 1st, everyone got 1st...what happened to the game?... pack my bags, woohoo going to wsop
05-11-2008 16:21
I wouldn't pack yet. I think it'd be great publicity but it'd cost them $600K to do it.
No way that's going to happen.

the founder owner payed like 10k back in 99 to get bodog started. now he generates more than a million dollars a day in profit, he's a billlionaire , which i read he just sold the company.. so maybe as a parting gift calvin could throw caution to the wind and say sure everyone goes..it'll make good publicity stunt...keep fingers crossed
