A stud player often has to decide whether to draw a card or fold to a bet. This decision is especially important on fifth street when the bets double. I had an interesting hand in a $10/20 stud game at Foxwoods where I had...
I am not a regular stud player, but I think in this situation you have to draw to the hand. Even a raise in this situation may not be a bad idea. Sounds to me like the guy had slpit kings and causht a scary looking board. So to me you are drawing to the nuts and should have went on with the hand.
I play stud pretty regularly and my instincts said to fold off the bat.
I believe your analysis is pretty correct. Even if your opponent only has 4 to a flush and a pair of kings, he is still drawing to a better hand than yours. Either way, I figure he has you beat in most scenarios.
Good analysis. You relayed it well in the article also. Well done.
