Aside to no1here... Just go with the flow man.
This isn't the first time this has happened on pokernews and it very likely won't be the last. If there is any doubt, sift through the past posts.
When I went the route of b1tching and moaning, it didn't get me anywhere. A cancelled and rescheduled freeroll with new players is a fact of life here. Be glad that you got 10 bucks out of it for nothing.
I've had freerolls cancelled (Last weeks freeroll on Pacific Poker being the most recent.)
In fact, I've deposited funds on a website endorsed by this site and then lost those funds when the site went belly-up. (Not a whole lot, but it was more than $100)
Getting indignant is not going to get you anywhere. Rasucci (bless her - she will come on here to try and clean up somebody else's mess) will say "this will be worked out." Dave will present the facts and say "this is what it is, let just go with it"
Save your energy dude.

Being allowed to play is their compensation. If they win the added T$109. it will be additional compensation. They lost their qualification when they failed to sign up for May 11 tourney. They did not suffer as the fifty that did register and they did not have 12K taken away.

For somebody that is not part of it, not fully understanding what happened that day, not seeing Bodog responses by email you have no business calling me indignant.
As you say it does go on all the time and I have given up many times but this is the second time this month for me as I was totally screw May 3 by Duplicate for Pokernews WSOP FR and have to say no more!
All supports from everywhere are ignoring players, not caring for players concerns, and lying to players. It is time to legalize this sport and have it regulated.
Your right this has cost me many hours, sleepless nights, and I had to stop playing altogether because I am on tilt so bad.
Is it worth it? Your right, no it's not!

OK, I wanted to address this without stirring the pot too much.
1. I was a player in this tourney just like all of you.
2. I immediately emailed freerolls@pokernews.com and pointed out that ONLY the 50 that were registered should be allowed to play in the rescheduled tourney. I even reminded them of the Wingows fiasco. Apparently they decided against this.
3. I also suggested that they bug Bodog to add a couple of extra seats. Apparently they decided that adding the T$109 for 2-9 was good enough.
4. Am I thrilled about #2 and #3, no. But what are my options as a player now? I can boycott the tourney but I don't think so. I can voice my concerns about this and I have. And I can win the dang thing whether there's 50 or 120 players and I plan to.
I will say that at least this make up tourney was scheduled very quickly rather than not at all as it was with Wingows.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

well here we go i knew this was too good to be true that i would have a 1 in 50 chance to win this tourney, boy is it a gift from God that those other 78 people who didnt sign up or show up for May 11th can comeback and sign up and everything is aok . A good explanation like they trie to sign up and this glitch wounldnt let them would be the only explanation that i feel comfortable with.Do dreams really come true well for those who missed sign up yes they do. All here are very intelligent peopl i see so plz give us areasonable explanation as intelligent adults and not just cause you wanted to. because I see nothing fair about not signing up for an wsop tournamentseat free and and failing toshow up must less sign up

I want to tell just one last thing. You all know that you play via Internet , software of poker rooms is a system (technical), do you know any system that works without mistakes?
I guess you all should understand that things like this on Bodog can happen everywhere! None of these poker rooms are perfect, and if you don't like things happenings, maybe you should play real games in casino?
Pokernews cant change poker rooms software technical mistakes and create new tournaments themselves. We can only do our best to reschedule and get at least SOME benefit for you all who did loose something.

PokerNews cares very much about their players. Everything that can be done was done for this rescheduled tournament. Poker rooms control their sites. When there is a problem with the tourneys, the site is who had the problem.
Sites do these freerolls to generate player traffic. PokerNews can ask for things but the ultimate decision is made by the sites that are putting up the prize money. PokerNews got additional $$ in the prize-pool. This may not seem like a lot but it is much more than zero that many rescheduled tourneys get.
Ultimate control over entries falls on the poker sites themselves. If Bodog wants to open this tourney up to all that were qualified whether they were signed up or not for May 11th, then they have that control. Again, I'll mention that there have been sites in the past that opened the rescheduled tourney to anybody and everybody. That severely stunk.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

Let me explain how did all this happened. (Regarding 128 informed players). After Bodog software fiasco during the tournament, Bodog manager was not sure if all 50 qualified players will be able (or want) to play in their tournament again. Thats why he made this note to everyone who qualified. Apparently everything happened different - and many player registered. I really understand all of you, i would feel the same.
I can just promise that next time (if such fiasco happens again) doesn't matter how many players there will be i will fight to have a tournament just for all of them. I can see that players know what they are saying.
