Poker Forum

Hello,

we will be doing the remake of Pokernews soon. Please suggest some handy tools, features we can make. For example in the review we will have the special textual box where all the pros of particular room will be listed. Just to know that FT is presented by Phil Ivey or T6 - by Tony G etc.

deffo we need a search function for topics, posts, users etc.

I have asked the Dutch peeps to hop on to this topic.

and for serious i dont hope the remake will change the layout because this is good and familiar.
so the remake will only be some new tools and features.

1. I would love to see a shoutbox @ the frontpage
This is for handy when you need some serious help quickly

2. I would love to see a place where you can upload your own poker movies.
So everybody can upload his own movie and we can learn more from eachother.

I think a well working search function would do any good.

I have some personal suggestions:

- No more German spam in my PM inbox.
- A decent search function for the forums.
- Better interaction between Pokernews sites (Private Team Tourney's on Stars!)

As I am a moderator on the Dutch forums. I have some administrative suggestions too, but maybe it is better to discuss them in private

Here my suggestions:
A good and useable search.
Fix the login problem. A lot of users often have to login again
Bookmark function
Customizable Active topics, where you can filter out some sub forums

I really like a forum like the forum :

- When you login you " jump in" in a thread where you have been reading!
- Filter topics

As well i would love to see that we can change and delete the posts whenever we want.

Just a little note to some guys. This is not a place to spam other poker forums!

- a subscribed thread function

We need a subscribe option of some sort. Just an list with the topics we replied to and since our last reply have been replied to by someone else.

Search function is a must.

Moderators have the option to click on users post counts to find their posts. Can this be enabled for all users?

Agreed, we have some anti spam squad in our Dutch forums. Scriptdude has recruited some bad boys LOL.

The concern is clear. Support team is not worjking well enough. We will put the live support in more visible place, so you will be able to get help from PokerNews support team.

We will be working on it. Great idea! I can assure you will have this feature as some other member sites of Pokernews group will have it as well.

Polls will be done. It is planned already. Topic subscribe will be done as well.

Also I would like you to share more details how you imagine Search. As you may see now you can select to search something in forum.

do we need to have a separate Forum search?
Does the search need to have some smart suggestions as you type?
Do you need to select forum categories in the search?
Do you need to search among particular member's posts?
