I guess I'm just an old fart. I'd be coming to town to play some poker, not party. With days as long as they are, rest is the main thing needed. I guess if you get put out, the party scene may be good to soothe the pain.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

This is a Palms advertisement disguised as a nightlife article.
At the begininning of the article, it mentions that "there are many great clubs close by that are easy and convenient to visit for those that would like to explore a bit of the strip."
I don't see anything about the strip anywhere in that article.

For those of us not so high minded, and or those of us with a meager bankroll, downtown is a little more down to earth. Economically, ethnically, and culturally diverse with a smattering of the lunatic fringe sprinkled in. Crowded, but navigable (unlike the strip). The light show is new & nice, but not the best part, especially if you'd like a taste of old Vegas. Probably not long for these old clubs before implosions bring 'em down for the corporate octopus. Just hop the double deuce on the strip going north 2 bucks down 2 bucks back.
