Is there such a thing as an online poker room that is free of concerns such as, fixed sights, programs/bots, players in

Okay. Here's the thing. I'd like to play poker online but, is it honest or straight? I play casinos, but havn't played online rooms for the reasons stated in the subject title. At the tables in the casinos, I hear of many people playing this site or that site online but, I always get mixed reviews and when I ask these questions, I get answers that fall short of yes or no. Most say, "Hey, they're great but, this happened or that happens. I wonder if this or that isn't happening all or most of the time!", I'm a fair study of human character, (an act of my livelyhood for 20+ years). Most people are reluctant to admit to a mistake(s) when it is a reference to judgement and especially when money is involved. Bad judgement, in hindsight, is rarely admitted. I've been researching this for sometime looking for that elusive, one, singular, most reputable online poker room where these concerns are at the least, if not existant. Is there such an online poker room available? Or, is online poker play a slow death ripoff? All help is greatly appreciated! Thx...........

tony g,

one good reason why stars doesnt want to divulge too much info to the public about ownership, mgmt and investors is that they might be afraid of US legal repercussions.
all of you lucky ppl who live in europe, UK, canada, australia and such, dont know the potential legal risk anyone in the US incurs simply by playing online poker, let alone owning such an operation.
in fact, when party went public the other week, they had disclaimers all over their prospectus something along the lines of 'we could be shut down due to US legal actions'. of course, theyre overreacting a bit, which is understandable, but again, the threat is existent, and with the rise of right-wingers in US politics/legal system, its not getting better.

the only real cheating prospect in online poker is from collusion, i.e., individual players cooperating (via IM mostly), and mostly on cash game tables.
since i play tourneys, esp large sats and such, i cant say ive seen any real collusion nor am i personally worried about it.

The sad truth is that the sites aren't trying to rob you, the main thing you are all talking about relates to the lack of random in the java pseudo-random number generator, naturally this takes advantage away from the better players who would otherwise be outplaying their opponents by having a greater chance of winning if true probability existed online with pseudo-random deals.

Solution: Don't play online, or if you still decide to play online then play limit games and have a bankroll that can withstand extreme fluctuations.

I won't bother with anyone but Tony G. I find offensive remarks made by those who have not played enough hands on line at real money tables to declare the sites are honest. THEY ARE NOT! Immediately you ask --"Who the heck are you to say that?"

"He's just another sorehead fish loser with no skill."- Some will respond. Save your breath. I speak as an insider who has made plenty triple net in the past 5 years. Many of the sites you have played at, I or my 500 strong prop team have worked in conjunction with management.. At new or smaller sites you have sometimes sat at tables where as many as 6 of your competitors were props. My folks and I learned to our sorrow and financial pain in early times, site shills were also at work. When a site no longer needed or wanted us around they stack milked my props and I using shills(work and are paid directly by site whereas props are paid per hand for play in increasing amounts as limits rise by prop company owners such as myself, working directly for prop company who contracts them to sites. So Friends I tell you this unequivocably--Sites can and do manipulate outcomes. Sites can and do target seats, clients and accounts. There really is a "doom switch". People like Tony are either-bemused and befuddled by attention paid to them OR are in chaoots with or receiving cash benefits for being Judas goats.

You are right Tony--I shouldn't judge without proof. I apologize. Is that a Royal "we" or are you associated with this site? If you are, to whom do I send Pic'? Also does the site receive affiliate payments from poker rooms or casinos for player referral? I have no concerns. I am working with a group dedicated to exposing the online, ongoing criminal enterprise destroying a game I have played for 40 years successfully and love.

I am associated with this site. You are wrong I have several friends who have become very rich by playing online poker. Phil Ivey is one and there are several more, not everyone can do it. I can see that for you its best to stick with off line poker and that is booming because of online poker so there is more money for all good players.

well Tony-as agreed, I won't make any comment about how Phil may have got rich or on what sites. However, when you make statements like that with no way to prove the gains were not ill gotten, you take advantage of our agreement. I think you would agree that Daniel N. from Toronto Ontario Canada is a pretty good player too. He left Ultimate Bet, passing on a free trip to Aruba, when he discovered that Ultimate were manipulating the outcomes of some Aruba satellites including the major 1s where seats and trips were awarded. Now this assertion is not a fantasy of mine as he posted his reasons on line and confirmed them in an email to a friend. I saw copy of what he said. At the time Iwas trading emails with him discussing addiction. So please, let's discuss facts we both know are facts and assume nothing.
