What would you know davega.I agree 100%with miiestro. If they can accept money from my credit card why the fk should they fk me around when I have deposited plenty into their site and they have made hundred off me from rake not to mention the players I have introduced to their site). They want to take money with the information provided.THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE TO PAYING ME IN THE SAME...END OF STORY YOU MORONS WHO GIVES A IF YOU WANT TO BE SCREWED EVERY WHICH WAY BY THESE UP SITES ITS YOUR PROBLEM,AS THEY AREN T GETTING ANY MORE FROM ME.I CAN T BELEIVE HOW MANY OF YOU JUST WANT TO BE SHEEP AND COMPLY WITH WHATEVER YOU ARE TOLD,NO WONDER YOUR GOVERNMENTS HAVE SUCH CONTROL OVER YOU.

Somehow I missed this post or I certainly would have responded sooner.

1st-What would I know? Let's see. I've played at over 20 online sites. About half before the UIGEA forced me to WITHDRAW from the sites and move my money to US friendly sites. The number again goes up when depositing on sites where PokerNews is an affiliate. So I've done a few deposits and withdrawals.

2nd-Just like a bank, online sites are wanting a proof of identification when withdrawing. Anybody can deposit into my bank account as long as they either have a deposit slip or my account number. But when I withdraw, the bank always checks my ID. Simple business.

3rd-If you feel that reading a user agreement (which every player must agree to) and then abiding by it is being a sheep, then I can assume that the "Establishment" made all these laws and rules just to keep you down. You're right. They all had you in mind when writing these user agreements.

I have to produce 100 points of identification to open a bank account (birth certificate driving licence etc) once opened my signature is the only identification I need to operate it. Poker sites have my address name birthday phone number neteller account number this now becomes my signature if I know these details then it is me operating this account. Banks are governed by legislation which is formulated by governments who are elected by the people banks do not make up any of there own rules and nor dose anyone else If you have a complaint against banks you can take that complaint to the banking ombudsman or take legal action. On the other hand poker sites are not governed by any government legislation. If I have a problem with a poker site all you can do is wing and wine at poker news

User agreements wont stand up in court I can put anything I like in a user agreement for instance if you have a rash you pay double rack lose 2 hands in a row one of your kidneys now belongs to me.

So....since the sites are not governed by any government legislation, I would hope that their identification requirements are even more stringent than the banks since, as you said, I have no recourse if somebody hacks my computer (which contains all of my account numbers, my neteller account number and log in, and other personal information) and cleans out my bankroll.

Thanks for adding to my point sewhog.

Anyone can start a poker site pay $25000 to the Mohawk Indians for a licence and you are in business. The poker industry is made up of honest and dishonest people poker players are made up of honest and dishonest people since you are happy to send your full identity birth certificate licence passport phone bill etc to a poker site then you must also be happy to send it to a poker player. Please send all your details to sewhog at (IamOneBigSucker@yahoo.com)The bottom line is people who deposit money on and off poker sites should be able to do it with confidence and not have the rules change half way through

Well let me explain what happens here in Austalia before you can open up an account and deposit money into a bank.First and foremost you have to provide the 100 points to be able to open up an account and then to deposit money.Banks dont get minumum information off you then allow you to deposit money there just to deny you the minute you try to withdraw(asking you for more proof)which is what these online sites are doing.Banks dont ask to see 100 points eveytime you want to withdraw YOUR funds from then on.Like I said davega only people who want to be used like sheep are happy (as obviously you are)to comply to such demands.Like I stated in my original post(If you are able to read and comprehend)is that if its OK to take my deposit in one one hundreth of a millisecond after I have pressed the deposit in their cashiers online they should be able to give my money back to the EXACT same details I have given them ie SAME name SAME address SAME person that they have been gladly accepting money from into their site.I think its a very simle concept which even a very simple mind can can comprehend, its not rocket science.

As for you rasucci you it must give you such a high sense of sense of power to be able to threaten people to have them thrown out of a site for being normal. You see swearing is common place in just about every aspect of society. It is rare to in a coversation these days between men and women without the use of these so called swear words, but the minute anyone dares to use them online they are offensive. Most people swear including politicians and moderators of sites(dare I say).I am from the old school where men played poker against men(before this new poker revolution)but since women want to enter a male oriented domain such as poker they do so expecting men to behave normal (which swearing is part and parcel of a poker game). We aren t going to change our behaviour if they want to enter our domain.Secondly I have come across lots of women on the poker tables who would put even the foulest talking males to shame with their repertoir of swearing.I can t wait for the day when people will wake up again and get rid of all this political correctness and call a spade a spade.....by the way did you know it is politically incorect to call a blackboard a blackboard, goes to show doesn t it.

One more piece of advice for you davega. The first thing you are told about online security is "don t keep your account numbers etc on your pc".I will give you some good advice, keep it some where on a piece of paper that only you can find then you will be safe from all these online hackers. But then again what will do if you get abducted by aliens and they find the paper with all your details...gossshhhhhhh its so hard.

So online poker sites need further regulation so that players can feel confident when depositing that their money is safe and that they will be allowed reasonable access.

The banks require that identification to OPEN the account, but not to deposit. Just like some online sites verify the account information before allowing you to deposit. I'll agree that the verification process for cashing out could be simplified. But I still want the sites to do some sort of verification (especially if sending a check) before dispersing my funds. Maybe the sites could disperse funds only using the SAME method that was used to deposit.

My account numbers and passwords are not on my pc. I used this as an example because many players' are. Now all I have to worry about are the psychics getting my information and using it against me.

I'm not sure why you've wanted to make this personal.

Simply put: No swearing is the rule here. You can either be a "sheep" and abide by that rule OR we can cull the sheep from the herd. You're choice.
