SO many people warned Tiffany about the danger of continuing a business relationship with UltimateBet and she chose to ignore all their advice in favor of the advice of her agent and her boyfriend.
It's a shame that her greed for a short-term gain clouded her judgment and led her to compromise her credibility and sense of ethics.

Contracts with loopholes... serious business.
Anybody rep'ing for UB needs to have their head, and ethics, examined. Just proves the old saying, everyone has a price.

Awesome move PokerNews. Can't wait to see how Hollywood Dave (TM's BF) ties into the UB Scandal.

Wow. What a tumultuous ending to a dream run for Ms. Michelle. Hellmuth and Annie Duke have represented UltimateBet for quite a while now. I wonder if either of them had anything to do with pushing to rush into this agreement. PokerNews comes out pretty hard and publicly with their condemnation of the situation, and it's tough to blame them, staking her and all. She probably should have given PN the right of first refusal on continued sponsorship consideration - or at least a listen. That aside, would PokerNews' position be the same if she had rushed into a rep deal with PokerStars or Full Tilt? Curious. Either way, its too bad that the best story at this year's Main Event has turned sour. It's a real drag.

Talk about a back stab! Figures it was Ultimate Bet that helped stick the knife in.
Tiffany how goes it looking in the mirror this morning?

Wow!!!...Look at all of the first time posts!! Maybe this is the way to increase the activity in the forum...an occasional scandal!! LMAO!!
Perhaps this would also be the place to post a public Official Statement of my own about the issues I emailed PokerNews about 2 months ago!! After all, we have PokerNews Ltd Vice President, Mr. Justin Huxley in da house!! And he's armed with his team of attorneys!!
(Is this the same Vice president of PokerNews that was my query was sent to; that I have been waiting for a response from...Since may 15th? I hope so!)
Cudos for such impressive posturing and sabre rattling!! Gotta love the show! And such a timely show too. Like a Fourth of July fireworks display!! It's definately gonna bring in the members!! The increased membership and activity in the forum will almost certainly help for an increase in new PokerNews trnys too!
I just wish PokerNews Ltd Vice President, Mr. Justin Huxley would show the same enthusiasm and support for the issues of one simple member and supporter of PokerNews...or at least a reply.

Tough situation for a young person to be in. Peer pressure's a bitch at that age. She really needed to think about long term and who got her there.
With that said, hey Hux, sponsor me and I'll pledge allegiance to the PokerNews flag every morning.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

Well put Rob, It seems in this day and age as with all "talent and agent" relationships they always seem to forget who brought them to the dance .

I for one greatly appreciated the updates from poker news and followed this site faithfully. Tiffany Michelle has proven to be a huge disappointment signing with UB. She could have done so much better.

by the way i volunteer to take here place

Unfortunately she decided to team up with Ultimate bet. But from a Poker News standpoint...announcing they will no longer advertise for Ultimate Bet in the article was just childish and just wrong.
Yes, it is a step in the positive direction not advertising for Absolute/UB...however that move should have been made months ago.
Regardless of the situation...steps always have to be taken to reach a certain result...things do not just fall in ones lap.
Clearly whoever is in that position that could have further included P.N. in a long term sponsorship deal, did not get it done...whatever it was going to take... whether she included P.N. in the sponsorship negotiation process or not you can't blame that on Tiffany. I'm sure thats why at Poker News people have "pay checks".
All of this is new to Tiffany's life. Maybe she'll look back and come to the conclusion that Ultimate Bet was a bad decision. But the way the article is written suggests Poker News didn't even get a chance to talk to her about a sponsorship deal and now they will cut off all advertising for UB.
Is that what its going to take to cut off all ties with a scandalous company? You guys miss out on an opportunity and now all of a sudden you guys care so much about our integrity and safety for the game that you will cut off all advertising with AB/UB.
I smell a sour apple.
Just my opinion.

This is all sour grapes. Im not condoning her choice, but she is not a slave. You guys, I assume, will get your 2/3 of her winnings and thats where it ends.
You let this go on durring the tournament and even posted photos of her with UB logos. That act alone indicates in court your condoning of the action. Sorry, but yer coming up short.
As far as dropping UB advertising cause of this incident and NOT cause they screwed a hell of alot of people out of money reeks.
So, UB was ok advertising as long as they didnt covet your girl. I guess it shows what truly matters to you guys, yourselves, and not the poker player public. Im over PN as your priorities are screwed.

I've read everybody's posts and one thought keeps recurring to me.......
WE don't know ANY of the conversations that took place between PokerNews, Ms. Michelle, or UB nor do we need to. While other posters can view PN's decision to no longer advertise for UB as petty, we really don't have all of the details. Some make it sound like a school yard spat where PN got mad and is now taking their ball and going home. These were business decisions and PN made whatever decisions that they made along those lines.
As far as PN condoning Ms. Michelle wearing UB gear, just because PN showed pictures with her wearing the gear doesn't mean that they condoned it. PN simply acted as professional news reporters and did just that...reported the poker news.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.
