Ok so I was playing in a sng on Bodog last night (c. 2am ish est) when my connection to the site was lost... not a rare occurrence in itself but usually this happens when I lose my internet connection entirely. Funny thing is I still had internet connection but just not to Bodog... after some checking I realized that I could not connect to any of the other sites I play on either -Full Tilt, Poker Stars and Ultimate Bet! In fact I could not connect to a lot of poker related sites such as CardPlayer.com, etc. Ok something was going on but I couldn't find anything in the news so I went to bed thinking I would wake up to find some major news story regarding this "blackout" that I experienced. Not one word on it. Did anybody else experience this? I can't imagine it was isolated to just me.

did you restart your computer then try the different sites?

I was asleep as 2am but I don't see how this is even really possible. You're talking different sites on different servers all being down. I'd have to ask the same thing as TonyAceYa, did you restart?

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.

Yes this is one of the first things I thought of and without result... what really struck me as odd was that I could navigate to other non-poker related websites without problem (even this website, Poker News, was fine) but all the online gaming sites I play on were down... including CardPlayer.com which I understand does also have its own poker site?. As I stated before I was only playing on Bodog at the time but eventually opened up the other sites during my investigation... My first thought was that somehow the government had finally shut down internet poker for good!

...as a side note, this went on for the better part of an hour... I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser and even tried navigating with Internet Explorer but without result. I finally gave up and went to bed around 3am with a bad feeling in my gut.
