shut out of Duplicate free roll again

Previously one needed a certain amount of playthrough within 30 days prior to a FR to which as I currently have $60 to todays. Now for tonights 1K FR's Duplicate support is telling me that it is not possible to qualify because it needed to be done strictly within the previous month of June. These tournaments weren't even alive in June and weren't announce until July 17. How is it Pokernews announces Free Rolls that are not possible to qualify to? How is it that there is no way to qualify for this coming July 27th FR without turning back the clock? Ken

Ken, I know you won't like this but...... the Freerolls page states:

Existing Duplicate Poker players that signed up through PokerNews must earn 50 Bonus Points OR place $50 in buy-ins within the calendar month prior to the freerolls, to receive automatic entry to all the freerolls in the following calendar month.

You should be qualified for ALL the freerolls on Duplicate in August. To qualify for the ones in September, a player has to meet the above qualifications in August.

I think that's his main point...

I need a girlfriend who loves me for my money... and is pretty bad with math.

Then I guess Duplicate didn't want existing players in the July tourneys unless they were active in June without the freeroll incentive.

Hi,

We have spoken with Duplicate Poker and we have been told that all players who fulfilled the requirements in June will now be eligible for the remaining freerolls in July. An email has been issued from Duplicate Poker to all eligible players. If there are any further issues, feel free to contact freerolls[at]pokernews.com.

Thanks and good luck.

after playing here just for fun, i removed this software from my PC. It is Horrible when u can be 2nd in a 6 person sng, and still be eliminated after the 1st break because the person in the same chair as you has more chips than you even though you have more chips than anyone else on your table. this is the worst kind of poker i have ever seen. I dont even see how anyone can call this a game of poker.

Even if this place had the best online freerolls Which they dont, i would not play here. This game is horrible. Every game they have is based off of the chair to chip ratio, and everyone in the same seat gets the same cards. I complained to them, but they sent me an email saying i just didnt understand how their game is played. But I do understand, but dont think it is a very good game.

Just as an example of why I dont like it say I was delt AA in a 6 person sng. theres only 3 ppl on 2 different tables, but the person in the same seat as me gets AA as well. Both ppl delt AA raises max 1000 chips preflop, I get no callers, cause the ppl on my table are decent players with not as good of a hand as AA so they fold, but the other table both the avg hands call my opponents AA. Then im down 2000 chips instantly based on how ppl not even on my table played. I like poker to be based off my own play, and My own individual hand. To me this site is a complete joke, and i would never put money here.

In a nutshell...you are correct....BUT...I do agree with you when u say the site is a complete joke...if you attempt to approach it the same way you would approach a typical holdem trny. Too many bingo players in the lower tier buyins. I'd like to say it gets better in the bigger buyins; and it does to a degree; but the occasional rogue bingo player still slips in. The only way to protect urself from those players is to play enough to recognize them and make player notes.

But the biggest thing to know is that if you approach this site as a real poker game, then ur screwed already. Look at it as a new card game to learn...as if your learning spades, hearts, or any card game for the first time. If you do that, and you have good card sense to start with, then there is a lot of cash to be made there.

I've taken thousands from the site so far, and will take more before i'm done, but it is definately NOT a routine game of poker. And if you really want to warp your mind, play a trny at stars at the same time as playing at Duplicate! It'll really mess u up!

Sounds like you need to charge for coaching on Duplicate, Sheepo. But remember, you owe me one.
