Hello, I am Kenny Hallaert, the poker representative for the Casino's of Namur & Spa (Belgium)
From 15 till 13 November the casino of Namur will host the Belgium Poker Championships.
This is an open event so also people that don't have the Belgian nationality can participate in the event.

The event is already held for the 4th year in a row. Last year we were proud to have the biggest tournament ever held in Europe based on the numbers of players. The event was sold-out with 800 entrants. Results can be found here: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=29091
In the meanwhile the EPT of Monte Carlo broke this record with 842 players but for this year we doubled up our capacity to 1600 players so we will have the record again for sure.

The buy-in this year is 1550€+150€ (~$2400+$230) so the prizepool can go up to 2.000.000€

4 times a week there are satellites to this tournament in our casino. Al those satellites are 55+15€ with unlimited rebuys the first hour + add-onn. Those satellites are held every Tuesday at 20h and every Saturday and Sunday at 14h30. The casino of Spa also host a weekly satellite on Thursday at 20h.

Registration for one of the satellites or the main event is possible in the casino or online: http://reservations.circuspoker.be/inscriptions.php?p=CHP. The site is currently only in French but will be translated within the next weeks. If you have any problems or further questions, you can contact me and I will be happy to assist you. You'll find my details on the bottom of this post.

The minimum age for this tournament is 21 years.

The main event will take place over 9 days. These are divided as follow:

Saturday 15 November: Day 1A
Sunday 16 November: Day 1B
Monday 17 November: Day 1C
Tuesday 18 November: Day 1D
Wednesday 19 November: Day 2A (Remaining players from Day 1A + 1B)
Thursday 20 November: Day 2B (Remaining players from Day 1C + 1D)
Friday 21 November: Day 3 (Remaining players from Day 2A + 2B)
Saturday 22 November: Day 4
Sunday 23 November: Day 5 (Final Table)

This means that the tournament will have a very slow structure.

Also some online pokerrooms will host some satellites for the event.

The event will be televised.

During the championship there will be a wide variety of NL- Hold'em and PL Omaha cashgames.
Also some side events will be organized, the schedule of these events will be published here also during the next weeks.

In the same building of the casino there is also a hotel so you can also ask for information or do bookings for that through me. The rates of the hotel are 120€/night/room (2person-room)
an additional 40€/person/night if you want breakfast and dinner included.

If you have any further questions you can always contact me at kh@circuspoker.be or via telephone: +32 (0) 476 80 65 35.

Kind regards,
Kenny Hallaert

meh, it's just true, Belgian beers are just tastier than German beers... Although when I'm at a party, I'll go for the german beers, I can drink more before passing out

I need a girlfriend who loves me for my money... and is pretty bad with math.

Apologies Road_Runner there are some great beers from all over the world,eg:
Duvel is my fav Belgium beer
Weisteiphaner' is my fav German beer (check spelling).
Razorback is my fav Aus beer
Chang is my fav Thailand beer and is cheap!

Belgium just seems to specialise that little bit further. It's hard to beat you Germans/ Europeans your all such perfectionists. I 'll give you your headphones, i have some px-100 Senneisers and they KUITN's!

I second ROCK BOTTOM's call about Passing Out after a few German bevvies!

Cheers,
rx

Thanks for the correction ... a big name indeed - they're like the oldest brewers since monks brewed 1000 years old or something right?

Tomorrow the show begins,

There are still 3 qualification tournaments left, so if you want to play in one of Europes biggest events, this is your chance.
