Hello fellow Poker players. Well, I can say I'm in great spirits at the moment as I decided to change my style up this month and it worked! I qualified for WCOOP #21 with $1,050 from two satellites (ended up not raking as I came about 2400 out of 4000+ but gained good experience) and I've successfully negotiated two NLHE satellites starting at $8.80, won $110 for the next step which I won for a $800 qualifier to the Warswa EPT5 qualifier (winner receiving a package to go there).
This puts me into an ethical quandry. Do I;
a) Enter the qualifier and use all the $800 PS money?
or do I
b) Unregister and use the $800 PS money to try to qualify for something else? (Eg, the AussieM's)
What do you think I should do?
Well if I do go ahead with the qualifier I'll be playing on Sunday at 3 or 4am down here. Wish me luck!
Cheers,
rx

im interested in the style change...
its all about which event you really want to play. only you know that.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

I disagree, it's about the edge you think to have over the field imo, or about if you want to risk these $800 for the potential fun of playing a big tournament.
personally I'd go ahead and just try to qualify for another tournament, starting again at the bottom and using the $800 as a separate BR to qualify for some big tournament.

Yeah well I have the great people of pokernews to thank for my change up.
Basically, I went from a Live strategy to an on-line strategy. I decided to conduct experiments with my play over 4 $12 SNG's (like davega!) and found the optimum style of play for me. I only wish I had done it earlier....oh well like Allanis morissette said, 'you live, you learn'.
Anyway, I'm starting to edge towards Rock's idea as $800 PS money is alot to squander on one tournie and it is in warsaw without flights paid so a bit expensive from oz. Also, I can test my new play with those $$$ so we'll see. Thanks guys

I can relate with your indecision. A few weeks ago I entered a $50 buy in...won the first prize of a $1K ticket, and decided to cash it in to use in for other trny buyins instead. Of course when time came for the $1K buyin trny to start, I said screw it, and re registered...sigh...3 hours later, busted out with K high flush to A high flush, and no cash to show for it. Was a hand I would have forlded, but I checked on the big blind and flopped the flush. Over all, even though I didn't cash in the trny, if I had it to do over again I'd still enter the big trny. After all, my pockets aren't flush, so how often would the oportunity come for a shot at the big bucks!!

Just to let you guys know I unregistered and took the W$ 800 and spent 100 of it trying to qualify for LAPT San Jose and won it. Another $530 - woohoo!
Just goes to show that change up has meant good things...we'll see how the form goes a month from now. Hey does anyone know if PS will have qualifiers for the Aussie Millions? I think I might put the w$ too good use.
PS - Great Point sheepdog ... I will do it and play a big tourney one day!
BL on the K high KITN.
