For the second time on Carbon, I've come across players with names of well known players. First, Jennifer (Jennicide) Leigh on a $2/$4 Limit game and today the poker author Mason Malmuth (MasonMalmuth) on a $3/$6 Limit table.

Is this just a playground for some of the celebrity types to mingle with the common folk?

I think it's copycats hoping to make an extra buck when those pros go to that site and want their nickname.

Unfortunately, I think that you're probably right.

Did you beat them? That might give some indication.

let me guess. you are doing much better on 2/4 and 3/6 than on 1/2, right?

Here of late, I'm not doing any good on anything. The rivered suckouts I'm seeing on Carbon is crazy. The underdog seems to hit the river regularly against me.
