Did anybody watched that WPT on TV? On one hand Patrik seemed very very upset at Doyle Brunson, I am not sure why. If someone has an explanation I will bw happy to hear it. Basically here is what happened.
4 habded action, bb around 100 or 150k ( sorry don t remember ). Patrik has around 6M and Doyle Brunson is around 3M.
Doyle open with a raise pf 600k, Patrik goes All-in with 77, Doyle fold, very few hands later Doyle open with a raise pf 600k, Patrik goes All-in with 99 if I recall correctly, Doyle fold. Then, Doyle catch 33, Call the blind pf, Patrik raise him for 600k with A2o, Doyle goes All in, Patrik calls. When Patrik see the cards he says something like " how can he do this " and seems very upset at Doyle and continue to talk to the player next to him about the way Doyle played his 33, very upset.
I mean, what reason does he have to be upset? He got caught playing very agressively against a player who is very agressive and have seen him raising and re-raising all day. On top of that Doyle couldn t continue to be pushed around with a stack getting shorte and shorter.
Well anyway, if someone has seen the show I d like to know what your thoughts are about this.
I think Doyle play was brilliant and Patrik simply got caught.

100% speculation here (I did see the show) but I think that Patrick didn't feel that Doyle gave him much respect on that hand by shoving with 33. But you are right. Patrick had come over the top all-in twice already and Doyle folded (respecting the all-in). Doyle had to do something as the blinds were so high. Maybe there was something that we aren't aware of that wasn't televised.
I will mention that you see this quite often, though. I've mentioned it before that some players seem amazed when you bet or call their bet with anything other than AA-KK-QQ-AK. But if THEY call you, it's Ok to call with anything and they can justify it.

Just another KITNs. You'll get used to them.
