What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The numbers can be skewed by the types of tournaments you play. My ROI is -28% but I finish in the money 21% of the time. The problem is I cash 55% of the time (18/33) in 9 player and heads up but I am a brutal 3/66 in the 46-180 MTTs. But it is very valuable information because it shows you where you perform best. If you need to build your bankroll just find the category where you have high ROI combined with a good ITM percentage and play those types of tourneys. I plan to give it a try over the next couple weeks to see if it works out.

If my ROI is negative, I would be worried! Like you said though, it does give you some good advice on where to play. Too bad they don't track cash games...that is all I play. I can tell my bankroll is going up, so guess that is all that really matters. (of course, now that I said that, I am sure I will have many losing days).
There is never a wrong mistake as long as you learn the first time!

Do you use Holdem Manager?
I get the feeling from you that you at least play poker on a decent enough stake (25NL and up) to really have a good advantage from that program.
HM also tracks all your hands and shows a lot of stats to show you if you are a winning player.
