Evidently they are operating at the Excalibur. I don't have a problem with them b/c the shuffle programs are regulated and routinely verified to be random. It may dilute the game a bit by greatly speeding up the gme, i.e. reducing the time to assess hands, read players, etc.
Bright side is that we may now be able to play poker at sites where we couldn't before like at dog and horse tracks. There are a couple close to home (Dayton/Cincinnati) and my folks house in Indiana.
Anyone played them yet? Thoughts?

personally I just like the feel of the chips, the feel of the cards and the general look of live play. The automated tables take some of that away imo.

I agree with Rock. They had one or two in the Seminole casino here in Florida. They only used them for their tournaments. Players were given a "special card" and when they touched the card to the screen, their cards showed. When they pulled it away, their cards went blank. That way no one could see what they had easily. It looked like a lot of crazy's there!
I wouldn't see a problem with these maybe for some of the SNG super sattelites, but for anything that I put significant money on, I want live dealer, real cards, and hopefully all the chips!!!
There is never a wrong mistake as long as you learn the first time!
