I was following the event ( from time to time ) and I think there was 58 "red players", only 4 cashed... Seems a pretty small number to me. Makes me wonder about the level of commitment from them in these type of online tourney.

What are "red" players? Pro's?

Full Tilt Pro's. And it's not uncommon for them to bust out early. Most of them don't play better than the average online player with a year or two experience.

Do you really think the skill level is comparable? I would think they just don t really care as it is a contractual obligation for them to play in these events and if 500$ buy-in is nothing for them ( litteraly ) the six hours they might spend at the table is much more precious as they could do something else.

i think it has more to do with the lack of internet poker knowledge. Most of these guys play live tournaments which have vastly different structures and player types. Not to mention the ability to sit in front of the screen for hours on end is something you cant do just once or twice a year and expect to stay focused.
However, they probably dont give much a sh*t either.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.

I doubt he can read! He spent all his childhood learning to talk, that is all he can really do!
