E-poker for Indy Area
The first casino catering to the Indianapolis, IN area is the newly opened Indiana Live! casino in Shelbyville, about an hour to the southeast. The new casino will offer poker, though exclusively in the electronic-table format at this time; North Carolina-based electronic table maker PokerTek has opened a ten-table room at the new locale, outfitting the room with its PokerPro tables.

I noticed this on the home page a few minutes ago. this casino is about 80 miles closer than where i usually go to play. Has anyone ever played on these electronic tables?

Is it worth the stop or should I just move on down the road?

because 1/2 live cash games are considerably weaker than .5/1 online.

That is a good reason...I would follow up with the question, "Would it continue to be weaker if hands are played that much faster? i.e. if the fish lose their money even quicker, will there be enough to keep it better or will it become darwanism where only the strong will survive?"

that i couldn't tell you. i would think that an electronic table would attract more fish. i think dealer games tend to intimidate people a little bit.

however, i dont know if playing on a screen in person would take the fun out of it. guess its worth a shot either way.

Let me know how it goes.

They had some of these at a local place I went to. The people looked like zombies on it. No talking, no chips, no looking at each other even. I go to have fun and enjoy the atmosphere...the guys playing the electronic one, didn't look like they were having fun. If it isn't fun, no reason to play!

But of course, if there is no other option, might be okay!
