The donk vs. The dick challenge

So V. and me have figured out our little challenge we are going to have. It is rather simple and goes back to fundamental poker. We will both start with $100 in our pokerstars account. We will then play within strict bankroll management. We will post weekly on this post how we are doing. We have a couple milestone bets and the challenge is culminated with a HU match where we each bring 25% of our winnings to the table.

Here is a way that you guys can get in. There is a penalty. If you catch us playing outside of our bankroll on Stars, the person breaking the rules has to send you $10!

So, our bankroll strategy is:

Buyin Move Up To Drop Down

.01/.02 You Suck!
.02/.05 $75 $ 50
.05/.10 $150 $100
.10/.25 $375 $250
.25/.50 $750 $500
.50/1.00 $1,500 $1,000

SNG's (3 tables or less) - BR/40 is max limit
MTT (more than 3 tables) - BR/100 is max limit

Must buy in for the full amount.
If your bankroll falls by more than 4 buyins at the level you are at, you must quit for the day! (A buyin would be 100x the BB in the limit you are at)

we already have some bets placed between the two of us setup up on a monthly basis. however, i would be willing to make some small wagers on who is ahead at the end of each month if anyone else is interested.

also, we will be updating weekly on here as well anytime a major swing occurs during the week.

Weird rules.

Timeframe? What's at stake?

25% of your winnings to a HU match, thought you guys were thrying to help each other out, taking %25 of the other guys winnings is a bit hefty

if things work out accordingly 25% could be a large sum of money. its a reward for all the hard work.

not if you lose the match.

Tony, inevitably, I will lose everything, so basically I will be bringing -$25 to the match! Plus, I am sure by then we will both want to adjust it somewhat. But, yes, it is a hefty amount but part of the excitement. (I would slaughter him HU's anyways)

Yeah I figure you'd probably have an edge there. Mrd would most likely be scared money. Then again the BRM rules favor his nitty style so I guess it's fair.

Does the HU match play out until one of you blew the 25%? What if you don't have any winnings?

H...so many questions that who knows the answer to. We are going to have to give weekly updates, so you should pretty much know what our BR is. In V's case, if you see him playing .50/1.00 next week...well, never mind, he won't have $10 in his account to send you anyways! LOL

I don't think there are many holes in it. There are some details we didn't put up here. The only basic unresolved is the final challenge which will happen based on BR's as of 1/31/10.

we will post when we have decent swings throughout the week as well. so this should help determine what levels we should be playing.

i wont be able to play as often as MR.D However, when i do play i can play for longer time periods. Also, I will have a week and a half home everyone month without any work requirements. SO i imagine it will all even out.
