Okay, based on the action, I put him on a pp, probably AA or KK. Any thoughts or comments?

Nice work, if you suspect an overpair the bet/bet/shove line is the best
(of course here it turned into bet/betcall)
Tony is just joking, hence the
(what did he have in the end? KK prolly?)

Yep like RB said i was joking, i would be weary of Ac Kc though, if he did have this your just unlucky and at least you got outs

I have replayed this hand in my head a couple times since then. I don't see an issue with my thinking in that I knew I was beat preflop. If he truly had what I suspected (AA or KK) then I was playing for set value. Assume an 11.75% chance of flopping a set or better and knowing if I do, I will probably double up, I think calling the flop is perfect. ($2.50 to win $30+ is better than the % I need)
I am fine with the way I played everything else. Of course I ended up calling, but pretty much knew what he had, either AA or KK with one of them being the club. Sure enough AA with the club. Luckily, the river was harmless and I took down the pot! I was very pleased with the way I played it and think it is a big improvement to how I would have played the hand a couple months ago. It is funny to look back and read some of my older posts and see the progress. Still know I have a ways to go, but I think I am getting there.

HAHA, you are talking to me. I am great with laying stuff down! I would be afraid of him holding 72!

What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.
