Interest vs advantage

Sort: Latest first Oldest first

1

People gambling at casinos both, live and traditional gamble in various games as per their interest. Also the casinos games are played against the "house" and hence the "house" makes money due to the fact that the odds are in its favor. So what should a newcomer do while choosing a game for himself, like look for the interest or play the game with minimum house advantage.

Depends on why you're playing. Playing for entertainment value = play what's fun. Playing to make some cash = play the game where you have the most advantage whether it is skill or a low house edge.

Adding to what Davega said, you can only perform well in a game where your interest lies.
Playing the game where you have an extra advantage might appear attractive or profitable,
but believe me it is your ultimate passion or interest that will take you further.

I think it is okay to play poker rather than casino games where either house advantage is too much or luck factor comes into play. Moreover I have heard that long term ROI is quite good in poker if played efficiently.

tbh, When I play casino games it s for the fun of it with friends so I m not looking at ROI or anything and I am ready to spend a bit ( within acceptable limits ) to have a good time at the roulette and such. It s way mor fun like this and I rather loose 60$ and have fun than concentrate all night to make 60$ at the blackjack table.

Say I want to improve my ROI in poker then what should I need to do?
Does playing with higher stakes affect ROI

Higher stakes means different type of play most of the time, so the ROI should be affected at least until you adapt ( if you can ) to the new stakes.

You people just don't get it, huh? So much effort for so little turn-out.
