Help send PokerNews' Kristy Arnett to the WSOP Ladies' Event as a Ninja!

That's right, our very own Kristy Arnett has always wanted to be known as "The Poker Ninja" and we're going to make it happen. Over some sushi dinner while on break at EPT Berlin, Kristy spilled to us about her ambitions to be known as "The Poker Ninja" when she first got into the game. Now, we know you're not supposed to give yourself a nickname, but we'll cut her some slack. If she wants to be a ninja, she can be, and we're looking to help her out.

The WSOP Ladies' Event is a $1,000 buy-in championship event held during the Series on June 11. Kristy has agreed to play the tournament dressed in a ninja outfit if we can help raise the money for her to play. As coworkers of hers, we're looking to get all help that we can for her and would love nothing more than to see her masterfully and stealthily stack her foes at the table in swift fashion.

The Dutch PokerNews site has also started a thread about this and recently had Kristy on their weekly radio show. Let's get this going and get Kristy in the ninja costume and on the felt!

I seriously doubt there being a dutch thread about this yet. I atleast couldn't find it (not even with google). I'm guessing they either forgot it or thought it better to wait a while for the World Series buzz to get started.
The radio show they announced it in was kind of chaotic, so might very well be they just didn't get to it yet.

main part of the ninja outfit is the mask, but those are not allowed...

I need a girlfriend who loves me for my money... and is pretty bad with math.

??? What about the guy wearing a motorcycle helmet?

Also technically this isn't a mask:

wasn't it that a rule that you are no longer allowed to cover up the face?

No idea to be honest .. just remember that I've seen a guy wearing a motorcycle helmet at the WSOP a few years ago. They might have changed the rules, not sure why though.

I believe the rule is unofficially called the Phil Laak rule, because he completely altered his face with an old guy mask.

Page 5 of the rulebook, Rule number 51 indeed states:

Players may not cover or conceal their facial identity. Tournament officials must be able to distinguish the identity of each player at all times

and may instruct players to remove any material that inhibits their identification or is a distraction to other players or tournament officials.

Players may wear sunglasses and sweat shirts with hoods, but may be asked to remove them if they cannot be identified by tournament

officials.

I think this also is a rule set by the gambling commission in general. Didn't Negranue call out some people in one of those poker league tournament series recently?

There is never a wrong mistake as long as you learn the first time! {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
